Las Vegas Raiders Blake Martinez sells rare Pokémon card for a whopping $672k! 

Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Blake Martinez recently sold a very rare Pokémon card for $672,000, according to reports.

The sale marks a massive win for Martinez as it netted him more than half of his NFL salary for the season which is $1.1 million.

The sale comes weeks after the linebacker estimated the card to be worth anywhere from $500,000 to 1,500,000.

The rare and expensive Pickachu card known as “The Swirllustrator” due to it's design 

The card which is sometimes referred to as 'The Swirllustrator,' was rated given a 9.5 rating in gem mint condition according to auction house Goldin.

 Aside from being a card collector Martinez is also a massive Pokémon fan, who according to ESPN has played every video game based off the show since he was six years old.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records Martinez's sale now ranks as the second most expensive sale of a Pokémon card ever.

The record for the most expensive card by far belongs to the one sold to youtuber Logan Paul last year.

Paul purchased a different Pickachu card for an unbelievable $5.725 million.

He has displayed the card on multiple occasions, putting it on a large necklace that has worn at several high profile events.
