She opened up about her dad's first impression of her husband during an 'Ask Me Anything' Instagram session
When a fan asked what her legendary father, 61, thought of Dustin the first time they met, she replied, 'He told me I should marry him.'
Paulina added that her Hall of Fame star father also gave her wise dating advice.
'The best dating advice I ever received was from my dad. He told me to weigh the pros and cons of dating someone,' she divulged.
'If there are few cons and many pros, then don't rule them out right away. If the cons outweigh the pros, then don't try to be the person who thinks they can change them.'

According to Gretzky's mother Janet, Wayne was full of pride on his daughter's special day, with the former actress revealing on Instagram that he became quite emotional while waiting to walk her down the aisle.
'Wayne waiting for his little girl to appear for her and Dustin’s big day,' actress Janet captioned the photo, before revealing that her daughter's wedding day - April 23 - was actually the same date that Paulina's grandparents tied the knot.
'4/23/22 which happen[s] to be the same day that [Wayne's] own parents [Walter and Phyllis] married,' she added.
Her dad gave a speech during the wedding, calling it 'the most incredible three days that he's ever had.'
'And I've had a lot of fun,' he added.
Dustin and Paulina first met in 2009, but they didn't start dating until 2013.
'I don’t know if you can call it a date since my dad tagged along,' she later told Golf Magazine of their first date. 'That’s how it goes in our family.'

The pair were linked in the beginning of that year, and they got engaged soon after, with Paulina - who has worked as a model, singer, and actress - gushing that she had 'never been happier' after he popped the question in August 2013.
Then, in September 2014, the sports star and the actress announced that they were expecting their first child together. She gave birth to a son - named Tatum Gretzky Johnson - on January 19, 2015.
'Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning,' he said in a statement at the time.
'Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably, and in great spirits! We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days!'
After the arrival, Paulina couldn't stop gushing about Dustin's parenting to People Magazine.
'Dustin's the best dad. He's my best friend. He's been so supportive with me and we're just there for each other,' she said.
Their second son, River Jones Johnson, arrived in June 2017, with Paulina writing at the time, 'I'm so thankful for my family and the new addition.'

In 2018, the couple faced trouble in paradise when rumors started to spread that they had split.

'Every relationship goes through its ups and downs, but most importantly, we love each other very much and are committed to being a family,' she wrote. 'Thank you for your love and support.'
Gretzky's new husband faced some backlash over the summer, following his resignation from the PGA tour to join the controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf.
The former world number one golfer was paid around $125 million to join the series and said he 'chose what’s best for me and my family.'
