A UK-based TikTok foodie has shared how you can recreate McDonald's popular McChicken sandwich using an air fryer at home.
The recipe consists of a minced chicken mix which is coated in a batter, cooked, and then served up on warm buns, along with some lettuce and mayo.
The viral clip, which has racked up more than 26,300 views, was a hit with fast-food fans, as commenters rushed to praise the 'fakeaway' - although some stood staunchly by the original.
User @kjs_tx started her recreation by blitzing one large chicken breast, along with one medium egg and a quarter teaspoon of salt.

A TikTok foodie has shared how you can recreate McDonald's iconic McChicken sandwich using an air fryer at home - and commenters approved
She then shaped the resulting mix into patties, using wet hands, instructing to make them 'slightly larger than the bun and around 1cm thick'.
The patties, which were then coated in corn flour on both sides, can be set to one side while the batter-making process begins.
For this - 40g of plain flour, 20g of corn flour, a grind of salt, one teaspoon each of onion and garlic granules, two teaspoons of English mustard and an egg - were combined in a container.
The thick mix was then slightly diluted with 80ml of water as @kjs_tx used a fork to whisk the ingredients together.

They were air fried at 180C for 12-14 minutes, before being served on some burger buns.

The TikToker showed her 'fakeaway' off, alongside some mouthwatering chunky chips and dip.

Commenters showed their delight at the recipe, as one claimed that it tasted just 'like the real deal'
Commenters rushed to praise the recipe, adding that the food looked 'immaculate'.

However, not everyone was so easily swayed, as some remained loyal to the original - claiming there is 'nothing like a mc'chicken sandwich', and suggesting that it is cheaper.
