A Los Angeles Lakers fan got far more than he could have imagined when attending the Lakers' 116-115 loss to the Indiana Pacers Monday night.

While his team may have suffered defeat, the fan walked away $75,000 richer after draining a sensational half-court shot.

If that wasn't enough, he also received a celebratory hug from star forward, Anthony Davis.

Sporting a black Lakers cap, the man threw up the shot in an unorthodox fashion, but the result was right; sailing in for a swish, much to the crowd's amazement.

It was an otherwise all-too-familiar feeling for the Lakers (7-12) who slumped to yet another loss, this time at the buzzer.

Indiana Rookie Andrew Nembhard hit a 3-pointer at the horn as the Pacers rallied from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter to complete the stunning comeback.

Tyrese Haliburton scored 24 points and hit a tying layup with 39 seconds left for the Pacers, who trailed 101-84 early in the fourth.

LeBron James hit a one-handed floater with 20.9 seconds left, and Myles Turner missed an ensuing 3-point attempt for Indiana - but Haliburton got the long rebound and eventually found Nembhard alone on the perimeter with a crosscourt pass.

The ensuing bucket crushed the LA crowd and set off a frenzied on-court group celebration that even included Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard.

Though we know one Laker fan who would've found 75,000 reasons to keep smiling.
