Any fears that the United States of America's main talisman would miss the Round of 16 tie with the Netherlands seem to be dwindling.
According to Fox Sports' Jenny Taft, star winger Christian Pulisic told her, 'I'll be good' to go for the match on Saturday. Pulisic later addressed the media and spoke about his injury for the first time since his goal against Iran and was a little bit more cautious.
The Chelsea man suffered a pelvic contusion while in the process of scoring the lone goal in the USMNT against Iran that sent them through to the knockout stages.

Pulisic was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but responded to the victory on social media, writing that he will 'be ready Saturday' for the round-of-16 match with the Netherlands. Adams echoed the good news with GMA on Wednesday
'I didn't get, like, hit in the balls,' Pulisic joked. 'I'm alright, I'm alright. It was very painful and itโs just, that bone is there for a reason to protect you, I think, and I hit it well, and it was sore. But like I said, I'm getting better.
'I saw Weston [McKennie] play a great ball over the top. And my opportunity was there to just to beat the defender to the ball. And I was just able to do that, and paid the price for it a bit.
'I took a knee, you could see the video, just to a nice pelvis area โ it was not nice. But obviously very painful. But yeah, feeling better, doing better now.
'I will do everything in my power to work with this medical team and make sure that I can play.'
According to Taft, USA attacker Josh Sargent is also a concern with a calf injury. Sargent started the game against Iran in the No 9 role.
But it is Pulisic's health that is the biggest talking point going into the game. He was hurt as he scored against Iran in the 37th minute, bravely converting Sergino Dest's header.
He was down for around five minutes and needed helping off the field by two medics from the US team.
The 24-year-old made it back on and played the remaining minutes of the first half but didn't come back out for the second half - being replaced by Brendan Aaronson.
He was taken to a nearby hospital in Qatar for checks as his team held on for a nervy victory to reach the last-16.
And as the emotional USA celebrations unfolded, Pulisic sent a message to his team from his hospital bed.
'So f***ing proud of my guys I'll be ready Saturday don't worry,' Pulisic wrote.

The United States will be fighting for the chance to advance to the quarterfinals - 20 years after they made it that far for the first time in the modern era of the World Cup.
In that 2002 World Cup, the Americans fell 1-0 to eventual runners up Germany thanks to a Michael Ballack goal in the 39'.
Since appearing in the World Cup in 1990, the Americans have made the knockout stage four times, but have only reached the quarterfinals that one time in 2002.
So far this tournament, the USMNT have scored two goals and conceded only one in their opening match against Wales.
