Harry and Meghan's explosive new trailer for their Netflix documentary has been branded 'more of the same' by critics who say they're 'sick of hearing complaints'.

But other Royal watchers are hopeful they'll finally hear the 'full truth' after the duke unleashed in the one-minute teaser video.

Harry hit out at the 'hierarchy of the family', claims insiders 'leaked and planted' stories, describes royal life as a 'dirty game' and - after footage appears showing his mother, Princess Diana - talks about 'the pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution'

Finally, he concluded the clip with a parting shot: 'No one knows the full truth - we know the full truth.'

Fans and critics alike immediately took to social media to voice their opinions on the trailer.

For many, it felt like 'the same old' complaints the Sussexes have repeatedly made since leaving the Firm.

There were also mounting calls for the palace to issue an official statement on the series and the allegations levelled against them.

Tagging Kensington Palace and the Royal Family Twitter accounts, one fan said: 'Come on, this can't be acceptable. Something needs to be done.'

In the trailer, Meghan says 'I realised, they're never going to protect you' before Harry adds, 'I was terrified, I didn't want history to repeat itself'.

Billed as a Netflix global event, the streaming giant announced Volume I would be released on December 8 while Volume II of the six-part series will air on December 15.

Meghan and Harry also found supporters on Twitter immediately after the trailer dropped.

Plenty of fans said they're excited 'to finally hear the full truth' while Harry was applauded for defending his late mother.

One fan said: 'I actually feel RELIEF that M&H are coming forward in this way. There has been so much poisonous speculation about what actually happened, and I do not feel the Oprah interview could cover it all. I will be watching, & I hope other fair minded people will, as well.'

Another said: 'They have a right to speak.'

Others hit back against criticism of the timing of the first trailer's release - noting King Charles' coronation day will fall on Archie's birthday.

Today's teaser clip opens with a scene of Harry and Meghan in a car, seemingly in America, as the duke says: 'It's really hard to look back on it now and go ''what on earth happened?'''

The video paints a picture of the couple's initial popularity, with a news presenter heard describing 'the sounds of hearts breaking all around the world' after they announced their engagement and Piers Morgan saying Meghan was 'becoming a royal rock star'.

Another scene plays of the Sussexes on a royal walkabout as a member of the public shouts 'Meghan, we love you!'

At this point a photo from their wedding appears, before Meghan says 'and then...' and Harry adds 'everything changed'.

The tone of the trailer immediately darkens, with a photo flashing up of the Royal Family, including William, Kate, Charles and Queen Elizabeth II as Harry narrates: 'There's a hierarchy of the family, you know, there's leaking, but there's also planting of stories. It's a dirty game.'

It comes as a photo of Prince Harry covering his face from paparazzi that was included in Netflix's documentary trailer from last week was actually taken while the Duke of Sussex was dating Chelsy Davy.

Last week, the streaming platform released the first 60-second clip promoting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new £88m docu-series.

The Sussexes were accused of dropping the trailer in time to overshadow the Prince and Princess of Wales' official trip to the United States. Others pointed out they likely had no say in when the video was released.

Royal sources told The Mail on Sunday that Charles and Camilla were 'not worried but wearied' by the continued outbursts from the Duke and Duchess.

Since quitting as working royals and moving to California, they have criticised the Royal Family in interviews, including a high-profile show with Oprah Winfrey, and recorded the Netflix series.

The late Queen famously made clear that 'recollections may vary' over many of the couple's claims – and that view has not changed.
