Tom Brady was so frustrated with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defeat Sunday that he did not bother to shower before bolting out of the Levi's Stadium, according to a report.

Brady and the Buccaneers were thrashed 35-7 by 'Mr. Irrelevant' Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday evening.

It was a far from an ideal homecoming for the quarterback in Santa Clara as the Niners' blowout win pushed Tampa Bay closer to the brink of possible exclusion from the postseason.

Brady, who has not been shy to show his frustration with his team and their results this season, seemingly reached a new level of anger after Sunday's humiliation.

The 45-year-old fled the Levi's Stadium without showering before making the 3,000-mile flight back to Florida, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

When pressed on his rather unhygienic practice, Brady reportedly launched into a mini tirade, saying: 'Some things I don't give a f*** about, at this point. F*** that. I'm going home.'

Brady, playing just the second road game against his favorite team while growing up in nearby San Mateo, finished 34 for 55 for 253 yards with one and two interceptions during the game which left the Bucs 6-7.

Following the embarrassment at the hands of San Francisco, Brady claimed he didn't even want Tampa Bay fans to watch.

'I'm sure they left, is what they did,' Brady said. 'I don't want them out there in this s***. It was horrible. We sucked.'

Brady has dealt with woes on and off the pitch this season after finalizing his divorce with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen in October after weeks of speculation.

Brady admitted on his Let's Go! podcast last week, that he had to maintain a clear sense of perspective on the field amid his turbulent personal life.

'I think there's so many ways for me that it just keeps great perspective for me in my life,' Brady said. 'Why have I done it as long as I have? You know, physically, I've explained that and I've tried to take care of myself.

'You know, mentally, and as we talked about with Coach [Sean] Payton, there's such a drive mentally to always come up with the next great play, or the next great concept, or the next great scream.

'And then emotionally, that's where I think as you get older the challenges really come in, you know, because we can get distracted by other parts of life and not distracted in a bad way but there's priorities that take over.

'So I've tried my best over the years to maintain what's important to me. And been very fortunate to play a sport that I love. And, as I said, why do I play? Because the competition is great.

'Obviously, it's a great thrill and joy to go out there and play, but you're just, you're a part of something that's way bigger than yourself and there's something to be said about that.'

However, despite his best attempts to deal with the emotional challenges of continuing to play in the NFL, Brady has allowed his frustrations to seep out on the sidelines at times.

During the previous week's game against the Saints, during which he inspired a comeback win, the quarterback could be seen screaming at his teammates.

He was visibly furious at his team at one stage of the game. Cameras caught him yelling 'what the f*** is that?' as he was sat on the bench at the start of the fourth quarter.

Fox reported that the outburst was at the Bucs' punter Jake Camarda, who started the final quarter with a punt into the back of the end zone, giving New Orleans the ball at the 20-yard line.

He had similar outbursts earlier in the season and was even caught on camera spiking a team's tablet.
