Texas Governor Greg Abbott thinks President Joe Biden is a hypocrite for criticism over busing migrants from the border to Democratic enclaves even though the administration has flown planes of asylum-seekers across the country.
Renae Eze, a spokesperson for Abbott, has repeatedly insisted that migrants willingly chose to be transported to destinations detailed on a waiver that they voluntarily signed upon boarding.
Democrats, however, have launched attacks against the Republican governor, claiming he tricked migrants into being a political stunt.
Some migrants in El Paso, Texas last week told DailyMail.com that they have no money and are intentionally waiting for the 'free buses' to New York, D.C. and other cities to get away from the border and closer to their final destinations.
'The Biden Administration has been flying migrants all around the country and oftentimes in the cover of night, or dumping migrants in Texas border communities that are already overrun and overwhelmed by the historic influx of illegal immigration,' Eze told DailyMail.com of the hypocrisy from Biden.
A bus of migrants arrived from Texas outside Vice President Kamala Harris' residence in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Christmas Eve, with at least once saying he was 'happy to be here'

'After speaking to border mayors, sheriffs, and other local officials desperate for help, Texas began busing migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities to provide much-needed relief to our border towns,' Exe added.
Most recently, three buses of migrants from Texas were dropped off in Washington, D.C. on Christmas Eve – including at least one bus letting off passengers in front of Vice President Kamala Harris' official residence at the Naval Observatory.
Democrats were particularly peeved at this trip.
White House spokesperson Abdullah Hasan called it a 'cruel, dangerous and shameful stunt.'
'Governor Abbott abandoned children on the side of the road in below-freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any Federal or local authorities,' he said in a statement earlier in the week.
'As we have repeatedly said, we are willing to work with anyone – Republican or Democrat alike – on real solutions, like the comprehensive immigration reform and border security measures President Biden sent to Congress on his first day in office, but these political games accomplish nothing and only put lives in danger.'
Eze responded to the criticism aimed at Abbott from the administration by calling President Biden the 'Hypocrite-in-Chief.'
Migrants warm up by the exhaust of a bus in El Paso, Texas on Tuesday just as the U.S. Supreme Court decided it would rule on the future of Title 42 in June - extending the policy for another six months
Gov. Greg Abbott's spokesperson Renae Eze called President Joe Biden 'Hypocrite-in-Chief' for criticism over Texas bussing migrants to Washington, D.C. but flying migrants across the U.S. Pictured: Biden arrived on Tuesday evening in St. Croix, Virginia Islands for a New Year's vacation
Texas started in the Spring bussing migrants out of the border state and to so-called 'sanctuary' jurisdictions where local governments have vowed not to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
At the same time, the Biden administration has also garnered attacks by immigration advocates and Republicans for flying migrants in the dead of night to areas throughout the country.
Eze said, according to Fox News, that it's wrong for Biden to launch criticism while also 'flying planeloads of migrants across the country and oftentimes in the cover of night.'
Texas has bussed more than 8,700 migrants to Washington, D.C. since launching the initiative in April. Also in that time period, 4,500 have been used to New TYork City, 1,5000 to Chicago and another 520 migrants to Philadelphia.
The Supreme Court ordered on Tuesday and the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that it would keep enforcing Title 42, a pandemic-era public health policy that allows immediate expulsion of migrants back to Mexico or the country in which they originated without hearing their asylum claims.
Originally, the Biden administration tried to end Title 42 in late May, but court challenges delayed the action for another seven months until December 21. But just days before it was set to end again, the Supreme Court ordered a stay and the administration requested that it be kept in place until at least December 27.
Custom and Border Protection (CBP) encountered 233,740 in November – the second month of Fiscal Year 2023. It is the slight uptick from the month prior and the third-highest month of encounters in recent history, all occurring under President Joe Biden
The future of Title 42 is now up-in-the-air, but the high court will make a ruling regarding the policy in June.
Title 42 was first invoked under then-President Donald Trump at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The order was meant to stop the spread of coronavirus from coming into the U.S. over the southern border.
Another result of the policy, however, was an effective way to curb the southern border crisis.
With the perception that Title 42 was ending, migrants flocked to the southern border in recent weeks.
El Paso, Texas, in particular, became overwhelmed with the vast number of migrants crossing the Rio Grande Valley before Christmas to claim asylum.
At least several hundred migrants were released from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) custody and had to take to the El Paso streets to sleep and try to find shelter as temperatures dropped below freezing.
Migrants tell DailyMail.com that there is no room in shelters or that they are kicked out during certain hours to wander the streets of El Paso.
Others say they have no money and are waiting for buses to take them out of El Paso to other U.S. cities. They claim that they were told these trips are free and will help get them closer to their final destinations to be with friends or family already in the U.S.
Fiscal Year 2022 saw a record-high number of 2.3 million illegal crossings at the southern border – and the trend is continuing into Fiscal Year 2023 with 233,740 CBP encounters in November and the number expected to skyrocket once reporting comes in for December.
Abbott says he started bussing migrants out of Texas to provide relief for overwhelmed border communities and in order to bring more attention to the growing crisis.
