Last year marked the Princess of Wales' most expensive to date when it came to her wardrobe, with the royal wearing £176,664 worth of new clothing.
The return to regular royal engagements and foreign tours following the end of the Covid-19 pandemic saw spending increase on outfits, with 2022 beating her previous most expensive year in 2017, when she wore £119,000 of new outfits.
In 2021, the royal had slashed her new wardrobe total, wearing £48,845 worth of new clothing. In 2020, she wore £93,914 of new clothing, and 2019, she wore £103,075 worth of clothing.
However, this crept up last year, and the insurance value of her top eight outfits from her Autumn/Winter wardrobe alone was more than £30,000, according to SO SURE.

SO-SURE used an algorithm to estimate the insurance value, using information from search demand statistics and social media to come to its totals.
The insurance value of the eight outfits from her A/W wardrobe fell short of her S/S outfits (which it calculated at £51,100), coming in at £31,888.
This makes the combined value of her 16 S/S and A/W looks work out to an eye-watering estimated £82,988.
