WATCH: 49ers OL Trent Williams EJECTED from NFC title game for throwing K'Von Wallace to the ground

The dying embers of the NFC Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers were re-ignited when Niners OL Trent Williams slammed Eagles CB K'Von Wallace to the ground.

The incident occurred with less than four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter with the Eagles leading 31-7.

A group of players appeared to be pushing and shoving each other in a scrum which continued to move until Williams grabbed Wallace by the back of his jersey and threw him to the turf - starting a fight.

Before Williams threw Wallace to the ground, it appeared that Wallace ran up and started shoving receiver Deebo Samuel - leading to the scrum.


Williams made his way in and threw Wallace down before throwing punches at Philly's Nakobe Dean.

Both benches began running onto the field - with more players from the 49ers getting there than the Eagles, as coaches tried to control the situation.

Wallace got up and punched a Niners player in response. Both players were promptly ejected.

Once officials restored order to the situation, Williams was ejected for his throw and Wallace was ejected for his punch. 

The game resumed and Philadelphia held onto the ball - taking it down to the two minute warning and ending the game in a victory - securing another spot in the Super Bowl. 

San Francisco dealt with injuries early - as both their quarterbacks had to leave the game. 

Starter Brock Purdy suffered an elbow injury and fourth-string backup Josh Johnson was taken out with a concussion.
