Reports in America are outlining the final moments that led up to Brady posting his retirement video on social media as he announced his final exit from the sport.

Brady had been contemplating whether to continue since the conclusion of the season and reportedly told Bucs chiefs at 6am of his decision. His decision was apparently split between extending his stay in Tampa and retirement.

The 45-year-old is reportedly exhausted by his highly-pressured football career and also by his divorce left than 12 months ago.

However, Brady's future won't be long beach strolls with margaritas in hand, instead he will be taking up a multi-million dollar broadcasting role.

The 45-year-old u-turned on a previous retirement decision to join the Buccaneers in 2020 and cemented his status as a club legend by winning Super Bowl LV with the club.
