Grammys 2023 LIVE: From the red carpet to Sam Smith and Migos performances

The nearly 4-hour Grammy Awards were closed out in epic fashion with an eight-minute performance of God Did with DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend and Fridayy.

DJ Khaled took the stage, adding, 'It breaks my heart they ain't believe in us. They played themselves while you hatin' and being jealous. You can be over here embracing that love, more love more blessings more life god did, win with us, watch us win. I'm going to take it outside, I'm going to take it to the streets,' as he headed outside where his collaborators waited.

The performance took place on the closed-off street outside of Crypto.com Arena, with the rappers all gathered around a massive dinner table for the performance.

The song ended with DJ Khaled stating, 'Breaks my heart they ain't believe in us. God did so we did an eight-minute song on the grammys. Salute to the academy.'

Throughout the night on Grammy Sunday they showed vignettes with super fans discussing why they want their favorite artists to win big.

The fans were all in the building at Crypto.com Arena as well, with host Trevor Noah asking them all to come up on stage to help present the award.

Noah gave the honor to a grandmother, a massive Harry Styles fan, who was stunned to read Styles' name for Album of the Year for his record Harry's House.

He beat out ABBA's Voyage, Adele's 30, Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, Beyonce's Renaissance, Mary J. Blige's Good Morning Gorgeous, Brandi Carlile's In These Silent Days, Coldplay's Music of the Spheres, Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers and Lizzo's Special.

A stunned Styles took to the stage and gave the fan a hug before accepting the Grammy from her.

'Um, man. I've been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me. At a lot of different times in my life, I listened to everyone in this category when I'm alone,' Styles began.

Last year's Best New Artist winner Olivia Rodrigo returned to the Grammy stage to present this year's Best New Artist, which was won by Samara Joy.

Joy beat out Anitta, Omar Apollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Muni Long, Latto, Måneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle and Wet Leg.'

A stunned Samara took to the stage to deliver a passionate speech for her second Grammy win of the night, after taking home Best Jazz Vocal Album for Linger Awhile.

Lizzo delivered possibly the speech of the night after winning Record of the Year for About Damn Time at the 65th Grammy Awards.

The 34-year-old singer was stunned after beating ABBA's Don't Shut Me Down, Adele's Easy On Me, Beyonce's Break My Soul, Mary J. Blige's Good Morning Gorgeous, Brandi Carlile featuring Ludacris' You and Me On the Rock, Doja Cat's Woman, Steve Lacy's Bad Habit, Kendrick Lamar's The Heart Part 5 and Harry Styles' As It Was.

Lizzo clearly wasn't expecting to win when she took to the stage, beginning with, 'Let me tell you something. Me and Adele are having a good time just enjoying ourselves just rooting for our friends. So this is an amazing night. This is so unexpected.'

'Okay. Now that I'm up here and I'm calm, I want to dedicate this award to Prince. When we lost prince, I decided to dedicate my life to making positive music. And I was like I don't care if my positivity bother you, what's wrong with you? And this was at a time when positive music and feel-good music wasn't mainstream at that point,' she said. 

'I felt very misunderstood. I felt on the outside looking in. But I stayed true to myself because I wanted to make the world a better place so I had to be that change to make the world better place,' she said to applause.

Music legend Bonnie Raitt was stunned to learn she won her 11th Grammy Award for Song of the Year for her track Just Like That.

The 73-year-old singer was left with her jaw open at her table when First Lady Jill Biden announced her name, beating out abcdefu by GAYLE, About Damn Time by Lizzo, All Too Well by Taylor Swift, As It Was by Harry Styles, Bad Habit by Steve Lacy, Break My Soul by Beyonce, Easy on Me by Adele, God Did by DJ Khaled Featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend & Fridayy and The Heart Part 5 by Kendrick Lamar.

'Oh, my god. I'm so surprised. I don't know what to say. This is just an unreal moment. Thank you for honoring me to all the academy that surrounds me with so much support and appreciates the art of songwriting, as I do,' she said. 

'I was so inspired for this song by the incredible story of the love and the grace and the generosity of someone that donates their beloved organs to help another person live,' she added. 

'And this story was so simple and so beautiful for these times, and people have been responding to this song, partly because of how much I love, and we all love John Prine, and that was the inspiration for the music for this song, and telling a story from the inside,' she added. 

'And I just -- I don't write a lot of songs, but I'm so proud that you appreciate this one and what this means for me and for the rest of the songwriters who I would not be up here tonight if it wasn't for the art of the Grat soul-digging, hard-working people that put these songs and ideas to music,' she added.

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden took to the Grammy stage on Sunday to present a brand new award - Best Song for Social Change.

Country superstar Luke Combs brought one of his old bosses out to introduce his first ever performance at the Grammy Awards.

Combs brought out Justin Davis, his former boss when he was a bar bouncer in North Carolina, long before he found fame as a country singer.

'Long before Luke was a country music superstar, he was a part-time bouncer for me at the town tavern in Boone, north Carolina,' Davis began.

'He wasn't the best bouncer because he was just way too nice. I'm sure Luke never spotted a fake I.D.,' Davis joked.

'Luke was a student then living upstairs of the bar. Now he is playing the biggest stages in the world including this one here tonight. I'm so proud the entire world now gets to witness what we witness night after night with just a crowd of 75 people at my tavern. Ladies and gentlemen, playing the Grammys for its first time ever, my friend Luke combs!' he concluded.

Combs took to the stage to perform Going, Going Gone at the Grammys.

Dwayne Johnson took to the Grammy stage to present the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, which was won by Adele for Easy On Me.

She beat out Moscow Mule by Bad Bunny, Woman by Doja Cat, Bad Habit by Steve Lacy, About Damn Time by Lizzo and As It Was by Harry Styles.

Adele took to the stage, clearly not expecting to win, as the singer broke into a spontaneous speech.

'Oh, thank you. I really was just looking forward to coming tonight. I just want to dedicate this to my son Angelo,' she began. 

'Richie said don't cry. He said if you win tonight, don't cry. Here I am crying. Just to my son, I wrote this first verse in the shower when I was choosing to change my son's life, and he's been nothing but humble and gracious and loving to me the whole time. I love a piano balad with it. Love you all. I love you. Good night!' she concluded.

The Grammy Awards paid tribute to 50 years of hip-hop with a plethora of rap icons taking the stage together for a massive tribute to the art form.

LL Cool J revealed that Paramount Global, 'will be celebrating this anniversary all year and we're kicking it off tonight on CBS right here the Grammys.'

LL Cool J returned to the Grammy Awards on Sunday night to present the inaugural Dr. Dre Global Impact Award to Dr. Dre.

'It's great, and I mean truly great to be back at the Grammy Aards tonight. I'm honored to be here to present a brand-new award that the recording academy is introducing this year in coordination with the Black Collective,' he began. 

'This award will recognize the contributions of creators and professionals with a proven track record of uplifting black music. The recipient of this inaugural award is none other than an icon who helped define west coast hip-hop and has become one of the most impactful success stories of our times,' he added.

Trevor Noah came back from commercial break at the Grammys, hanging out with Taylor Swift, with a request for her fans dubbed Swifties.

'I've got to tell you, Taylor, you have the best fans in the world. I mean, what they did with Ticketmaster, what they might do for artists all over the world, what they might do for fans who want to go to concerts is amazing. I'm just wondering once they're done with this, can you get them to handle the price of eggs?' Noah joked.

James Corden took to the Grammy stage to present the Best Dance and Electronic Album, which was won by Beyonce, setting a new record for most Grammy wins with 32.

She beat outFragments by Bonobo, Diplo by Diplo, The Last Goodbye by ODESZA and Surrender by RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Corden opened the envelope and couldn't help but smile, adding, 'Okay. Well, this is an honor. Because we are witnessing history tonight. Breaking the record for the most grammy wins of all time, show your respect. It's "Renaissance," Beyonce,' Corden said to applause.

An emotional Beyonce took to the stage to accept her record-breaking Grammy, stating, 'Thank you so much. I'm trying not to be too emotional. And I'm trying to just receive this night.'

Music icon Madonna took to the stage - brandishing a riding crop - to present the latest performance by new Grammy winners Sam Smith and Kim Petras.

'So, here's what I've learned after four decades in music. If they call you shocking, scandalous, troublesome, problematic, provocative, or dangerous, you are definitely onto something,' she said to applause.

Kacey Musgraves paid tribute to the late Loretta Lynn at the Grammy's, performing her hit song Coal Miner's Daughter during the In Memoriam segment.

The 34-year-old singer kicked off the tribute to those who passed away by performing Lynn's 1971 hit.

Musgraves was even using the same custom acoustic guitar that belonged to Lynn for the performance.

After she finished the beloved song, Migos rapper Quavo took the stage, singing his new song Without You, a tribute to Takeoff, who passed away at just 28 back in November.

He was joined by Maverick City Music to perform the touching tribute to Takeoff, in the second segment of the In Memoriam tribute.

After Quavo performed, the third and final segment was lead by Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Rait and Mick Fleetwood, who performed the 1977 Fleetwood Mac song Songbird, honoring the late Christine McVie.

As the rap music genre celebrates its 50th anniversary, Cardi B took to the Grammy stage to present Best Rap Album, which was won by Kendrick Lamar for Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers.

The L.A. rapper beat out GOD DID by DJ Khaled, I Never Liked You by Future, Come Home The Kids Miss You by Jack Harlow and It's Almost Dry by Pusha T.

'First and foremost, I want to thank my family for giving me the courage, you know, and the vulnerability to share these stories and share my truth with this album, Lamar began. 

'I want to thank my fans for trusting me with these words, you know? You know, as artists, we all say things to provoke thoughts and feelings and emotions. So making this record -- this is one of my toughest records to make,' Lamar admitted. 

'And it allowed me to do that and allowed me to share other people's experiences. Going back and thinking back where I started with rapping, how far I came, I would like to thank the culture for allowing me to evolve in order to make a song,' he said to applause. 

'Like "Mother I'm sober." That's special to me. The biggest underground artists of all time, and I finally found imperfection with this. So I appreciate y'all, I love y'all,' he concluded.

Harry Styles' performance of As It Was on the Grammys stage was introduced by the singer's close friend, Kid Harpoon.

'The whole world knows if it's Harry, but as he knows, I call him Gary. I call him Gary because he's etched his name into our culture that sometimes it's easy to forget we're human,' Harpoon began.

'The boy from a village in Cheshire, England, working in a bakery, who chased his dream and now years later is about to perform Grammy-nominated music for you tonight,' he added. 

'Spending hours with him working in studios all around the world, I've not only witnessed firsthand the dedication and passion that got him here, but I've also learnt that like a fine bottle of tequila, music is best shared with friends,' he added. 

It gives me immense joy and pleasure to introduce you to my friend Gary. Or as you guys know him, Harry Styles,' he concluded before Styles broke into song.

After missing out on her chance to accept her record-tying Grammy award, Beyonce finally got her award.

The 41-year-old singer won Best R&B Song for Cuff It, her 31st Grammy, tying the record for most Grammys by a single artist.

When Davis announced Cuff It won, Trevor Noah took to the stage to reveal why Beyonce isn't there yet: she's stuck in traffic.

After coming back from commercial, Noah personally presented the Grammy to Beyonce, who was at her table with husband Jay-Z.

'You know, when you equal a record, there's no way you get to hold your Grammy in your hand and celebrate that. And the queen is officially in ladies and gentlemen, Beyonce Knowles,' Noah said to applause. 

'Thank you so much. I was shocked to find out that traffic could stop you. I thought you traveled through space and time, but I'm glad that you could be with us right now,' Noah joked.

After bringing the house down with the first performance of the night, Bad Bunny won the Grammy for Best Musica Urbana Album.

Sza presented the award to the singer, who beat out TRAP CAKE, VOL. 2 by Rauw Alejandro, LEGENDADDY by Daddy Yankee, La 167 by Farruko and The Love & Sex Tape by Maluma.

'Oh, wow, this is really humble. It's easy because I just made it this album with love and passion,' the singer began.

Jayla Sullivan continued the new Grammy tradition of people who are close to the performers introducing them.

Sullivan took to the stage to introduce the next performance by Lizzo, revealing how much the singer means to her.

'I love this next performer for what she stands for, who she fights for, and who she truly When I auditioned to be one of Lizzo's "Big girl dancers," Lizzo said she saw a super star in me,' Sullivan added.

'Lizzo saw something in me that I couldn't even see in myself. I've been dancing with bad -- energy since I was ten. But getting the big shot was never going to be easy. I'm forever thankful to this one in a million woman for opening up doors for women of size, women of color, and people with all different gender expressions. And may I say, it's about damn time!' Sullivan concluded before Lizzo took the stage.

Kim Petras made history at the 65th Grammy Awards becoming the first transgender artist to win Best Duo or Group Performance with Sam Smith.

Their song Unholy beat out Don't Shut Me Down by ABBA, Bam Bam by Camila Cabello Featuring Ed Sheeran, My Universe by Coldplay & BTS and I Like You (A Happier Song) by Post Malone & Doja Cat. 

Willie Nelson wins his 11th Grammy Award for Best Country Album at the 65th Grammy Awards.

He beat out Growin' Up by Luke Combs, Palomino by Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, Humble Quest by Maren Morris.

Nelson wasn't there to accept the award so presenter Shania Twain accepted on his behalf.

Fresh off securing her EGOT, Viola Davis presented the award for Best R&B Song, which Beyonce won for Cuff It.

After two hit performances, Jennifer Lopez took to the stage to present the first award of the night, Best Vocal Pop Album.

Harry Styles won for his album Harry's House, beating out ABBA's Voyage, Adele, Coldplay's Music of the Spheres and Lizzos' Special.

Harry accepted the award with a brief speech, beginning 'Thank you so much. This album, from start to finish, has been the greatest experience of my life.'

'For making it with two of my best friends, to playing it for people has been the greatest joy I could have asked for. So, I want to thank rob, Jeffrey, Tommy Tom Tom Tyler, and everyone who inspired this album, everyone, all my friends who supported me through it. Thank you so much. I wouldn't be here without you. Thank you so much,' he concluded.

Host Trevor Noah revealed that they are doing something different at the Grammy's this year, having people closest to the performers introducing them.

Host Trevor Noah walked among the music luminaries after Bad Bunny's performance, joking his performance was so good it could make Donald Trump learn Spanish.

Noah also referred to the Chinese spy balloon that was recently shot down, joking, 'My job is to be your eyes, your ears. I'll be floating around this am radio. Think of me like a Chinese spy balloon.'

He went on to praise Beyonce, who, 'took it up another level' with her new album Renaissance, joking the lyrics to Break My Soul actually made him quit his own job.

He also praised Lizzo as the world's most famous flute player, joking, she was, 'the most famous flute player in the world since I'm sure there were others -- but you know what I mean.'

He also introduced Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to hit singer Adele before the next performance.

Latin superstar Bad Bunny kicked off the 65th Grammy Awards with an electric performance at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.

The 28-year-old singer took to the stage with a backwards baseball cap, white t-shirt and jeans while performing on Sunday night.

He is up for three Grammys including Album of the Year for Un Verano Sin Ti, and if he wins it would be the first Spanish-language album to take home the award.

Taylor Swift leads the way as one of the best dressed on the red carpet at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

The 33-year-old songstress stepped out in a stunning and sparkling blue crop top that exposed her midriff.

She rocked stunning and elegant diamond earrings with her bangs flowing over her forehead on the red carpet.

She completed her look with a matching sparkling blue maxi dress that flowed to the red carpet with a train following behind her.

The music industry's biggest night is just about to happen with the stars walking the red carpet for the 65th Grammy Awards.

The red carpet is currently being televised locally on KCAL with the awards show happening at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on CBS.

The awards will be handed out live from the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, with comedian Trevor Noah hosting the ceremony.
