Aaron Rodgers is bombarded with pitches from Raiders fans, Davante Adams calls for a reunion

Is Aaron Rodgers trading green and gold for silver and black?

While the Green Bay Packers quarterback was competing in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this weekend, Raider nation and Sin City were buzzing about a potential reunion between Rodgers and his former teammate, Davante Adams, in Las Vegas. Rodgers remains under contract through 2026, but the 39-year-old has been the subject of trade rumors, not to mention the hopes of Raiders fans who'd like to replace the outgoing Derek Carr with a four-time MVP.

'Just going to say the predominant team we hear as we're walking is Raiders,' Rodgers told CBS Sports on Saturday after he was asked about a potential home next season. '… A lot of ''Davante [Adams] misses you'' comments. We're having some fun with it.'

Like Rodgers, the Raiders originally hail from California, so it's not a surprise for locals to call on the former Super Bowl winner to reunite with Adams in Las Vegas, where the team moved in 2020.

More surprisingly, Adams laid his cards on the table during Sunday's Pro Bowl in Las Vegas, telling NFL Network that he's actively recruiting Rodgers to the Raiders.

'I'm here [in Las Vegas],' said Adams, who spent eight seasons in Green Bay catching passes from Rodgers.

'Duh. Why would anybody not do that? 100 percent,' continued. 'That's my guy obviously. Wishful thinking but we'll see what happens.'

Of course, Rodgers' future won't be determined by Adams' recruiting pitch. It's up to the Packers to decide if and where they plan on dealing their franchise player.

Aside from that, the Raiders do appear to be in the market for a quarterback after benching Carr over the season's final games, ostensibly to avoid injury and preserve his trade value.

Adams, who played college football with Carr at Fresno State, was asked about his Raiders teammate on Sunday.

'I control the things I can,' Adams told NFL Network. 'It's not going to stop us from being really good friends at the end of the day… Maybe he won't be my quarterback but he's still one of my good friends for life. We're brothers.'

Under first-year head coach Josh McDaniels, the Raiders went 6-11 in 2022.

The good new for Rodgers was that he and Canada's Ben Silverman won the pro-am, which was cut to 54 holes due to wind. Rodgers will now get his name on Pebble Beach's  Wall of Champions in front of the first tee - something the quarterback called a 'bucket list' item for him.
