More than 1,000 students and parents mourned the 12-year-old boy who was killed alongside his mother in their $2 million home by his father in what police have described to be a murder-suicide.
Investigators have speculated that Andrew Robinson, 56, shot his wife Linda Robinson, 55, and their 12-year-old son Sebastian before turning the gun on himself in their $2million mansion in Andover, Massachusetts around 3am on Thursday.
The school held the service to help their community grieve the 12-year-old, who they described loved playing his cello which was displayed in front, along with one of his 6th-grade projects.
'Sebastian was a compassionate and caring classmate,' said a teacher as part of the hour-long vigil held at the Danvers school.

'It was very comforting,' said Anna Berrian, mother to Boston 25.
A sixth grader named Michael was close friends with Sebastian and told the outlet: 'If I had two words to describe him: gentle giant,' said Michael. 'He never really talked about his personal life. I don't know what happened.'
Another student said: 'I was stunned. I felt like I had the wind knocked out of me.'
About 1,500 students were at St John's on Thursday evening, while school was cancelled that day and Friday.
Linda, Sebastian and Andrew were found dead in their $2 million mansion in Andover, Massachusetts, after police received an eerie call from inside the house with a voice in the background saying: 'Kill me now.'
Police arrived at the home and were ordered to proceed with caution after a man had been heard screaming and items were being smashed in the background of the 911 call, a dispatcher told officers.
It remains unclear who made the call, but the dispatcher claimed there was no response from the caller.
Linda was an accountant and model, her uncle David Arsenault told The Boston Globe. 'She was as angelic as they come.'
Linda's father Joseph Hachey visited the home with his step-brothers David and Roger Arsenault. The three sat around the dining room table while looking back at photos of the family.
Hachey remembered Sebastian as 'an angel.'
He recalled not seeing Linda as much when the pandemic hit and referred to their lives as 'private.'
'They went out and bought a big freezer and filled it with food, they hooked up the house with electrical generators,' Hachey said.

'I would ask my son [Steve], 'Have you seen your sister?' And he would say, 'Who?' Linda went into hibernation.'
It is unclear when Linda last saw her family but Hachey recalled Steve saw Sebastian last March. A photograph was taken of him wearing a mask.
Neighbors were awakened by the sound of the Robinsons' house alarm as officers forced their way in.
'They had to breach two doors to get inside the house,' Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe said. 'They went inside the house. They found the father, mother, and 12-year-old son dead.
'The wounds were from gunshot. We know the how, now we are trying to figure out the why.'
Janean and Andy Sullivan, 42 and 44, have a straight view of the Robinsons' home and watched as police made their way through the house with flashlights.
'We didn't know if it was a break-in but I just knew something bad happened,' Janean told the news outlet.

The family was described as 'private' and Chief Keefe added there were no prior reports from the home.
Records from Redfin show the four-bedroom house last sold in 2003 for $1,338,000. Zillow revealed the property's value has since increased more than $2million.

Sebastian was identified as a 6th grader at St. John's Preparatory School. Officials announced his death on Thursday and cancelled classes for all students.
'Our community is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Sebastian,' Edward Hardiman, St. John's Headmaster, said at a press conference at the school. 'Sebastian was a wonderful young man. He had a kind and gentle presence and was well-loved by his teachers. Extraordinarily creative.'
Hardiman added: 'He was just a really wonderful kid with a great nature.'
Andrew worked at Channel Building Co until he quit six months ago, the news outlet reported.
Linda's former neighbor grieved her death and revealed the times they spent together when they were younger.
'I'm speechless, I lived next door to Linda when I was a child, sometimes sneaking in her yard to play, and it saddens me to hear that her and her son's life were taken so soon,' the neighbor wrote.
