Despite being consoled by a team-mate, Ronaldo was still visibly upset with the match outcome and continued to throw his arms around in dismay.
As the Al-Nassr squad slowly made their way to the touchline, Ronaldo hurried his stride before lashing out at a cluster of water bottles placed on the touchline.
A number of the bottles were sent flying and the forward even managed to dig up a chunk of the pitch as he swung his leg in anger.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then made his way down the tunnel with a disgruntled look on his face, as fans cheered his name from the stands.
During the match, the 38-year-old struggled to have an impact and could not inspire his team to victory as they fell to a deserved defeat.
In a first half that lacked any real quality, it was the hosts that had the better of the chances, but they couldn't find a breakthrough.
Ronaldo had one chance before the interval with his snap-shot being well-saved by Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe, but the Portuguese star was offside anyway.
Knowing that they needed a win to leapfrog their opponents, it was Al-Ittihad who seized the initiative after the interval as they pushed for the opening goal.
Brazilian star Romarinho had a volley cleared off the line, but made no mistake 10 minutes from time.
The 1-0 defeat to Al-Ittihad, who are managed by former Tottenham and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, proved costly as Al-Nassr slipped down to second in the table.
