Missing Indiana teen Emily Barger is found in SHED 200 miles from home - cops arrest 18-year-old

Police have arrested an 18-year-old after he was found with a missing Indiana teen 200 miles away from her home. 

Emily Barger, 14, of Georgetown, Indiana, was reported missing on Monday after last being seen with Terry Ross, 18, of Cambry. 

Barger was found in a shed behind a residence in Attica - 200 miles away from her hometown - on Wednesday, according to the Attica Police Department. It is unclear if Ross lived in the residence. 

Barger was transported back to the police station, where she was reunited with her father, Shawn Barger.

Ross was located by officers walking down Council Street, where he was taken into custody without incident. He was preliminarily charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor under the age of 16.

A classmate's mother, who asked not to be identified, told DailyMail.com on Thursday that an anonymous law enforcement source told her that Ross was released from Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility late last month. He had been held on charges for aggravated assault and theft of a firearm, according to the mother.

A Silver Alert - which is typically issued for adults with known cognitive or developmental disabilities - was issued on Tuesday after she was last seen on Monday around 1am in Georgetown as it was believed she was in 'extreme danger.' 

On Tuesday, Barger's father took to social media to ask for help locating his daughter.

He said she may be in an 'older [possibly] Chevy truck with a loud exhaust and rusty body.'

On his Facebook page, he wrote: 'Emily Barger if you can see this in any way please come home you are in no trouble and I love and miss you very much.'

Posts from Barger's father and extended family alleged that Barger is with a male companion.

Her father plead with his daughter to make contact.

'You have tons of family and friends out looking for you wanting to get you home please go to a gas station anywhere and tell them you need to get home call the police or me or anyone just please get home I love you.'
