A woman has gone viral after writing a brutal but affectionate obituary for her sepsis-victim father - who she branded as 'hard as nails redneck son of a b***h' who 'couldn't stay married.'

In a touching tribute, daughter Halliea Milner joked that her father Kenne Pluhar, 62, had three true loves in his life - hunting, fishing, and drinking.

Pluhar passed away on his birthday, March 2 - and he was remembered fondly by his family in an obit that has left many people on the internet in stitches after it captured who he truly was to those who loved him.

Milner, from Alton, Illinois, took just 45 minutes to write the honest, yet touching, memorial for her dad. Among the comical references was one about his failed marriages - as he tied the knot a total of five times.

And she wrote that her father, while wickedly smart and intelligent, did 'nothing except drink, smoke, and listen to music.'

The obit started: 'Kenne died in ICU at St Anthony’s after losing a battle with sepsis – at the age of 62, after 50 years of crap – starting with everyone and everything he could find to fight in Alton, IL, this hard as nails, redneck, SOB finally found something meaner and more stubborn than himself.

'Like any good card-carrying, Ray Ban wearing, camo coverall lovin’ redneck, Kenne had 3 true loves: hunting, fishing, and drinking. He liked “both kinds of music – country AND western”.

'Like every sad cowboy song, he couldn’t stay married, but that didn’t keep him from trying. Again. And again. He had a total of 4 legal marriages (and divorces) and one common law marriage under his belt – that we know of.

'His first marriage, to Tara (Gomez) Berry, produced his one and only child (again, that we know of), Halliea Milner, of whom he was extremely proud, mostly because she is almost as big of a pain in the a** as he was, and she kept the pain-in-the-a** line going by giving him his only grandchild, Sidnee Milner.'

It continued: 'He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Mckinnon Donnelson, who, til the day he died, he called “his mommy” – proof positive that even the biggest (jerks) have a soft side, you just may have to dig deeper to find it.

'His father, Kenneth Joseph Pluhar, Sr, is still around, though, and was sure to teach Kenne the best ways to be emotionally unavailable and yet overly sensitive, all rolled into one. It’s a strong family trait passed down generation to generation.'

The daughter mentioned that her father had a love for gardening - which obviously meant that he was great at growing his own weed.

She added: 'Kenne was good at just about anything he tried to be good at and was wicked smart - but that didn't stop him from trying his best to do absolutely nothing except drink, smoke, and listen to music.'

And the obit even mentioned: 'He is also survived by a plethora of nieces and nephews that he terrorized and traumatized in countless and original manners - truly, it was survivorship when it came to Uncle Kenne.'

Following the obit going viral on social media, Milner said: 'The majority of the people understood that it came from a real place of love. He was a magnetic person.

'I loved him dearly. My world is not the same without him.'

The obit itself, which Milner posted on social media, had many saying that while the situation was sad - she executed the memory of her father perfectly.

One person wrote: 'So sorry. Wonderfully written.'

Another added: 'I got such a sense of who he was from this. You brilliantly captured his spirit.'

A third said: 'Wow. What a tribute! No wonder you became the bad-ass that you are! Sorry for your loss, and I hope you enjoy his celebration of life,' while a fourth added: 'Talk about a GREAT obit. All the grit and grime with sprinkles of love! You truly get a sense of who and what he was all about.'

Another kind commenter poignantly said: 'I never met him but I feel like I know him. I am so very sorry for your loss.'
