An 'optical illusion' that tests your intelligence has left people scratching their heads as they struggle to solve it in just 13 seconds.

The viral image was published by JoshJargan and the website stated that only 'a genius' could spot the hidden deer in the photo in the allocated time.

It shows a photo of a pair of hunters inside a forest.

Within the forest, there is a hidden deer.

You will need to look closely if you want to spot the animal.

'Two hunters have been hunting a deer. It showed up in the woods before and then suddenly disappeared,' JoshJargan stated.

'The hunters ran after it but lost it. However, the deer isn't far away.

'So, the trickier part of this optical illusion is to spot the deer hidden inside the forest.'

If you are struggling to spot the deer, look to the right side of the photo.

Look at the top right tree and what appears to be branches.

You will be able to see the animal's antlers that have been camouflaged by the tree.

To help you out, they're circled in the image below.

'It has been claimed that if you manage to identify the hidden deer inside the picture in just 13 seconds, it could be a sign of your extraordinary intelligence,' according to the website.

'Studies show that the more you exercise your brain with difficult puzzles, the smarter you tend to be.'

This is not the first time this viral image has appeared, with Bright Side publishing it previously.

It surfaced again in 2022, with news outlet Infobae reporting only two per cent of people trying to spot the deer ended up finding it.
