A former 'Bachelorette' contestant said he is 'grateful to still be here' after he was the victim of a beat down while on a recent trip to Colombia.
Will Urena, who competed on Michelle Young's season of the hit ABC reality dating show in 2021, posted a message about the incident on his Instagram story on Tuesday.
He wrote: 'While in Colombia I was drugged, beat [sic], and robbed of all my belongings.
'These past few days have been something I could of [sic] never imaged. Thank you for all those reaching out with kind words. I really appreciate y'all beyond words.'

Urena competed on the 18th season of the Bachelorette for a chance to be with teacher Michelle Young
He explained that he is 'working to get life back to normal,' and concluded the message by writing: 'I am just beyond grateful to still be here. God is good!'
Urena, 30, had previously shared a picture of himself on the streets of Medellín in Colombia, though it is unclear if he was attacked there or elsewhere during his trip to the South American country.
Violent and petty crime are significant concerns in Colombia, especially to tourists, who may not know which areas to avoid.
Urena works in education as an academic interventionist, with autistic students at an elementary school - though his Instagram page now links to an account that appears to be a real estate business.
During his run on the show, he said he was 'very tired of being the only single one in his group of friends.'
However, he was eliminated during week four of the show.
Young, who also works in education, as a teacher, went on to get engaged to Nayte Olukoya, though the pair ultimately parted ways in 2022.
On Tuesday, Urena posted an Instagram update to his story about what had happened to him while abroad
At least 25 foreign tourists were killed in Medellín last year
Last year, a California man was found dead on a Colombia street after going on a date with a woman he met on Tinder.
Paul Nguyen, of Orange County, flew for the first time to Medellín with one of his friends on November 6 and was murdered four days later.
He was the 25th foreign tourist murdered in Medellín last year.
Authorities at the time said they believe Paul was drugged and robbed.
The United States government issued a level three travel advisory to Colombia in January, warning American tourists to reconsider traveling to the South American nation due to crime and terrorism.
'Violent crime, such as homicide, assault, and armed robbery, is widespread. Organized criminal activities, such as extortion, robbery, and kidnapping, are common in some areas,' reads the State Department travel advisory.
