A tenant was arrested over the death of two missing men whose bodies, one of which was dismembered, were found stuffed into bins in a storage unit with bleach and rubber gloves after one of the victims reportedly refused to be a guarantor for the suspect's rental lease.

Leonid Volkov, 37, from Medford, Massachusetts was arrested on Saturday following an investigation into the deaths of Kiryl Schukin, 37, and Pavel Vekshin, 28, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney.

Both men died after being stabbed and were reported missing by friends and coworkers on April 9, which prompted the initial investigation.

Police executed a search warrant on a storage unit rented by Volkov under one of the victim's names last Friday, on April 14.

Inside the storage unit, police found the bodies of both victims inside rubber storage bins as well as bleach, rubber gloves and items belonging to the victims.

Schukin and Vekshin's deaths were both ruled as homicides by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The body of a man believed to be Schukin had also been dismembered.

Schukin acted as a guarantor for Volkov's apartment in Medford, but recently declined to continue being the guarantor for the lease extension, which lead to the suspect's eviction.

Police said Volkov and Schukin met up in a rented U-Haul truck driven by the alleged killer on March 29.

They later located the U-Haul truck - which he was likely using to transport his victims according to police - at the storage facility where the bodies were found.

He was also captured on video entering and leaving the couple's apartment in the days after both victims were last seen.

Volkov was charged with murder and will likely face additional charges in the next few days, according to the District Attorney's Office.

He is due to be arraigned tomorrow, on April 18, at Somerville District Court.
