A female driver attempted to flirt with a Texas trooper who pulled her over - before they found two El Salvadorian immigrants being smuggled in the back of her car.
Lidia Elizabeth Badillo, 38, from Edinburg, Texas was arrested and charged by the Texas Department of Public Safety last week after being pulled over by a cop.
Two female illegal immigrants from El Salvador were also found in her car with Badillo allegedly planning to transport them to Corpus Christi, Texas, together with the help of another female driver.
In video released by the DPS and posted to Twitter by DPS Lt. Christopher Olivarez, the Badillo attempted to flirt her way out of getting arrested by telling the officer he had nice eyes and that he was handsome.
The remark caught the officer off guard - but he quickly got back on track and found the two young women in the car were carrying fraudulent Texas driver's licenses in order to pass through a Border Patrol checkpoint in Falfurrias, Texas.

When asked if the driver's licenses presented were legitimate, Badillo told the trooper that she did not know.
Badillo told how she and her two friends met four months ago at 'Club Fuego' and were going to go and get drinks at a local bar.
Just as the officer states how he is going to run the IDs through his verification system, Badillo attempted to distract him by flattering him.
'I'm looking at your eyes sir,' Badillo said to the trooper. 'I'm looking at your eyes because you're pretty handsome.'
Badillo then admitted that she picked the two women up from a stash house, where weapons and supplies are hidden, in Mission, Texas.

With her plan unraveling, the officer told her to turn around and quickly placed her in handcuffs.
Badillo now faces two charges of smuggling people, while the two illegal immigrants have been referred to the U.S. Border Patrol.
According to Texas DPS, the method of taking the women across the state is common with may of them later forced into debt bondage becoming the victims of sex trafficking.
The bust is part of Operation Lone Star, launched by Texas Governor Greg Abbott introduced Operation Lone Star in March 2021 in order to curb the rise of illegal immigration across the state.
The op covers 48 counties mainly along the border with Mexico and directs DPS to use all available resources in order to prevent criminal activity such as human trafficking and smuggling, as well as criminal trespassing.
