Could Tom Brady unretire AGAIN at 45? QB gives a strange answer about playing for Miami Dolphins

Tom Brady gave a coy answer at a tech conference in Miami Thursday about unretiring and playing for the Dolphins.

Asked on stage if he will come out of retirement and play for the team, the 45-year-old didn't give a direct answer, or even say no.

'You're spending a lot of time in retirement, you call it home,' a present began with Brady. 'Any chance  you're coming out of retirement and playing for the Fins?'

As the crowd cheered, Brady laughed before very much playing to the Miami audience below.

'Oh man, I will say now that I'm not I'm affiliated with any team any more and, even though I have some ties to a couple of teams, I do have some friends on the Dolphins that I really like.

'I wouldn't say I'm necessarily rooting for them all the time but I root for my friends to do well.'

Brady retired from the NFL on February 1 after 23 seasons in the league which culminated in seven Super Bowl titles -- six with the Pats and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was the second - and seemingly final - retirement of his career, after ephemerally hanging up the helmet for 40 days in February 2022. 

He reneged on the move, playing again for Tampa through the 2023 NFL season amid a divorce from his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen. 

The 45-year-old's career finished with an emphatic 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wildcard Round of the NFC playoffs.

Brady allegedly had discussions about playing for the Dolphins - for which the Dolphins lost its first-round pick in this month's draft.

The franchise 'impermissible communications' with Brady and now-current Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton between 2019 and 2022, according to the NFL.

As it pertains to Brady, the conversations allegedly involved talks of the future Hall of Famer becoming a limited partner with the team.

Contact with Brady was found to have occurred during the 2019 season and postseason, when he was on the  Patriots, and during and after the 2021 season, when he was with the  Buccaneers. 

Ex-New England quarterback turned radio-broadcaster Scott Zolak said last month a move to Mike McDaniel's squad is 'definitely 100% in play.'

Despite the inevitable rumors of the quasi-mythical figure returning to a league for which he has been synonymous for over two decades, Brady has looked relatively contented with his new life. 

He shared a compilation video from a pickup football game and other activities from the golf course and beach with friends and family Wednesday. 

Brady also acquired partial ownership in WNBA team, Las Vegas Aces, last month.

The widely-regarded GOAT gave a stirring motivational speech while on stage in Miami Thursday. 

'You get a chance to choose in life what you want to be the best at,' Brady told the audience. 

'If you spend enough time and energy, and you create a culture of teamwork and a great environment of learning and humility, I think you have a great opportunity to succeed in life. 

'You're out there building a business, you're out there trying to be good on a sports team... care about people that you're doing things with, care about your teammates, care about what you're trying to accomplish. Who gives a s*** if you win or lose.'
