Curb Your Enthusiasm actor Ray Buffer has admitted to stealing $854 worth of comic books from a San Diego store after he was caught on tape.
Buffer, 55, appeared in court Thursday after Southern California Comics shared footage of him stuffing the books under his shirt and exiting the store in October.
He pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor petty theft. He was ordered to pay back the value of the comics and serve one day in custody.
The actor, who has also appeared on Gilmore Girls and CSI: Miami, was put on blast by the store's owners on social media for the incident.

The theft occurred at the San Diego comic book store on October 4, 2022.
He originally denied the theft in earlier court appearances, but according to the New York Post, changed his plea on Thursday.
Video footage from the incident shows Buffer wearing a blue and white striped T-shirt lurking in the corner of the store.
The actor then is seen rifling through stacks of the comic books before sliding one underneath his shirt.
The store's owner said the actor stole 10 comics worth $854.
The store uploaded the footage alongside a caption that said: 'If this guy looks familiar please contact us. Thank you!'
In addition to serving one day in custody and having to pay back the store owners, Buffer will serve one year of probation.
A judge ordered he will also serve 12 hours of community service and be required to take an anti-theft course, the New York Post reported.

Jamie Newbold, the owner of Southern California Comics, told The Post he was happy to see the case behind him.
'This man stressed me out, stressed out my employees, we remained stressed out,' Newbold said.
'Fearful, looking at customers differently wondering who was gonna hurt us next and now that stress is taken off my shoulders because at least we got a win and we know we can find justice even if we have to do it ourselves,' the owner told the outlet.

After charges against Buffer were announced, another comic store has claimed Buffer stole from them in September, The Post reported.
Buffer starred in one episode of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' in 2004 called 'Ben's Birthday Party,' according to his IMDB page.
He played the role of the 'stage manager' and appeared in scenes with Ben Stiller
Buffer has also had other minor roles in single episodes of 'Cold Case,' and 'ER.'
