JOE BIDEN 2024 LIVE: President launches bid for re-election today so he can 'finish the job' 

The Republican Party claimed that 'for the good of America,' President Joe Biden cannot be permitted to 'finish the job,' like he promoted in his reelection announcement video. 

A Twitter thread then ensued listing failures of the Biden administration during his first two years in office – including increased crime rates, the southern border crisis and economic issues. 

'Under Joe Biden, crime has skyrocketed,' one tweet reads, with another prompting: 'In Joe Biden’s America, our southern border is overrun.' 

'Inflation has ballooned out of control under Joe Biden. He falsely claimed it would be 'temporary.''

Donald Trump released Tuesday afternoon a nearly four-and-a-half-minute video on Joe Biden's reelection campaign announcement. 

The video was almost a word-for-word reading of the statement Trump sent out Monday evening as news ramped up of the impending announcement. 

President Joe Biden and Trump are set for a 2020 rematch now that both are in the running for the 2024 presidential election. 

Former President Barack Obama and failed 2016 Democratic contender Hillary Clinton are throwing their weight behind Joe Biden's reelection. 

'Proud of all that Joe Biden and his administration have accomplished these last few years,' Biden's former boss tweeted. 'He’s delivered for the American people — and he’ll continue to do so once he’s re-elected.'

Clinton sent her own tweet, writing: 'Joe and Kamala are the best people for the job of defending our democracy, fighting for our rights, and making sure everyone has a fair shot.' 

Mike Pompeo said that Joe Biden has made the U.S. the weakest it's been since President Jimmy Carter was in office. 

Trump's former Secretary of State and potential 2024 GOP contender hopes 'God spare us four more years of Biden.' 

Long-shot presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said Tuesday morning that Joe Biden's reelection candidacy is 'a myth.' 

The biotech multi-millionaire said Biden, 80, is being used as a puppet for the Democratic elite to conduct 'elder abuse' and run the country behind the scenes. 

'It's a myth that Joe Biden is actually running for President. He's not,' Ramaswamy told Fox News. 'It's just the managerial class using Joe Biden as a front to advance its own agenda.'

'To them Biden's cognitive impairment isn't a bug. It's a feature. The Administrative state more effectively controls its puppets when they are hollowed-out husks of themselves. The fact that it's elder abuse is just a cost of doing business for Biden's handlers.'

Donald Trump says Joe Biden has done more damage to the U.S. than America's five 'worst presidents' combined. 

A lengthy statement responding to the president's announced reelection campaign on Tuesday morning attacks Biden's record, calling him a 'socialist' who has 'humiliated our Nation on the world stage.'

'On top of it all, Biden is the most corrupt president in American history—and that’s not even close,' Trump said in his statement. 'Nobody can believe what’s going on, with again no retribution whatsoever.'

Trump, who announced his candidacy in mid-November, pegged himself as the only one that can 'rescue our economy.'

'Let's Go Brandon' emerged as a synonymous way of saying 'F**k Joe Biden' after a reporter mistook the crowd's chants at the Talladega racetrack in October 2021. 

President Joe Biden has failed the American people on gas and grocery prices, foreign relations and securing the southern border, Make America Great Again Inc. CEO Taylor Budowich claims. 

'Joe Biden's presidency has been a failure,' he said in a statement on the president's reelection campaign announcement.

'America is on the brink of a deadly nuclear war. Americans are struggling to afford groceries and gas. The border has been opened to millions of unknown illegal immigrants and tons of deadly drugs,' he added.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a video early Tuesday morning it claims was generated by Artificial Intelligence to show the future if Joe Biden is reelected. 

It included images of China invading Taiwan, 500 regional banks shutting down and an instance of Customs and Border Patrol being rundown by a surge of 80,000 migrants at the southern border in a single day. 

'It feels like the train is coming off the tracks,' the AI voice says at the end of the bleak 'Beat Biden' ad. 

The video plays on some of Republican's top concerns should Biden win reelection, including rising crime and the fentanyl crisis. 

Biden became the oldest president in US history when he took office in 2021, aged 78.

He would be 82 at his second inauguration and 86 by the time he left office - almost a decade older than the previous record-holder, Ronald Reagan, who finished his second term at 77.

Although Biden's annual medical report released in February says he is "fit" for the job, questions persist on the risks of a sudden health deterioration at such an advanced age.

At the very least, Biden will be taking the issue of age into uncharted territory.

The Republican National Committee responded to Biden's decision to run in 2024 in a statement.

They said: 'Biden is so out of touch that after creating crisis after crisis, he thinks he deserves another four years.

'If voters let Biden "finish the job", inflation will continue to skyrocket, crime rates will rise, more fentanyl will cross our open borders, children will continue to be left behind, and American families will be worse off.'

Sitting VP Kamala Harris announced today that she will run with Biden in 2024.

Harris, 58, became the first African-American and Asian-American to hold the position in 2020.

Biden's announcement that he will seek a second term at 80 is the latest in a long political career that began in 1970.
