A Georgia Bulldog player has come under fire on social media after video surfaced of him making a racist remark during the NFL Draft last week.

Footage appears to show Jamaal Jarrett, an incoming freshman, streaming himself watching the Draft and calling for fellow Bulldogs star Jalen Carter to be selected by the Atlanta Falcons.

As the eighth pick was about to be announced, Jarrett said of the man onstage: 'Jalen Carter, come on Asian. Ching chong.'

The footage is circulating on social media and Jarrett's 'thejahjarrett' verified Instagram handle is clearly displayed.

A Twitter account called Asian Crime Report said: 'This is unacceptable and disgusting' as they tweeted out the clip in question.

Jarrett's Twitter account is currently set to private and the Bulldogs are yet to respond to the apparent incident.

His Instagram profile also has comments closed on his posts but his profile picture - showing the No 55 on his jersey - is the same that can be seen in the offending video.

The Falcons instead drafted Bijan Robinson, a running back, and Carter was eventually picked next by the Philadelphia Eagles, last season's Super Bowl runners up.

The incident is more bad news for Bulldogs, who won the College championship earlier this year.

Carter himself was involved in a car crash in January that killed Georgia teammate Devin Willock. Staffer Chandler LeCroy also died.

Georgia's quarterback, Stetson Bennett, was later arrested in Dallas on a charge of public intoxication.

Bennett was also drafted last week - he was picked by the Los Angeles Rams with the 128th selection in Round 4 of the event in Kansas.
