The rapper 50 Cent continued his ascent in the film and television industry this week when he unveiled the empty warehouse that will serve as his new film and television studio.

The 47-year-old rapper-turned-actor shared a view of the enormous space, which hadn't yet been converted into sets for movies or shows, in an Instagram video posted on Saturday.

'Well, would you look-it here, 985,000 square feet,' he mused aloud, repeating the square footage in text.

50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson III) has had an amazing ascent, rising from dealing drugs to having multiple hit songs, before he expanded into acting and has now created his own space in the film and television industry.

The artist also appears to be moving on from an earlier embarrassment with his popular Starz series Power, in which he accidentally revealed his manhood in an episode and unintentionally scandalized his aunt.

In his recent post, 50 Cent panned his camera across the enormous warehouse space, which was completely bare apart from some pipes and lumber littering the ground.

A black van was also seen creeping up in the space, which may have chauffeured him there.

'Can you say G-G-G-G-Unit studios?' he continued before letting out a laugh.

In his caption, he added, 'GLG. GreenLightGang G-Unit Film & TV. BOOM. I need room to work. I don’t miss. [TV] will never be the same.'

Although he revealed the inside of the studio, the Get Rich Or Die Tryin' rapper didn't specify where his studio was located.

Although Southern California remains the heart of the film and television industries, he relocated to Texas in 2021, so the new location may be closer to his home base.

La La Anthony, who had appeared on the series throughout its 2014–2020 run, showed her excitement by commenting, 'Yes!!!!!! Let’s goooooooo!!!!!!!'

The rapper DaBaby shared some approving emojis, before adding in a follow-up comment, 'Still studying.'

YG and Jeremih also commented positively with emojis, as did the rapper E-40.

Although 50 Cent seemed proud of how far he had come in the industry, he expressed dissatisfaction with his network Starz last year.

As his latest four-year contract with the network was set to expire, he called September 17 of last year the 'official day of really owning my content and deciding where and how I do it moving forward.'

Earlier this year, he bragged on Twitter: 'I have the number 1,2,3, and 4 top TV shows in African American, and Latina households,' adding, 'I hate that i did them with the wrong people. I’m not doing any BMF spin offs or selling any other shows to STARZ.'

He previously had some misgivings about his flagship show Power, which he has produced and directed in addition to acting in, when he accidentally went partially nude in a scene.

The 2016 episode took place after his character Kanan had been severely burned by the lead, Ghost (played by Omari Hardwick).

As a woman tries to pleasure him to aid in his recovery, he's seen removing his penis from his pants, but the actual tip is in frame on screen.

Unlike more recent shows like The White Lotus that have used prosthetic penises, 50 Cent's real manhood was beamed into homes across the country.

The issue was a point of contention for the rapper, and in a since-deleted Instagram post he called out the show's executive producer Courtney Kemp.

'Man I just saw episode 4 of POWER,' he wrote. 'Courtney I’ma kill you, this is not funny. I think I just saw my [eggplant emoji] in a scene. What the f*** Courtney call my phone NOW!!!'

Although he appears to have been upping his anger for comedic value, he admitted that he hadn't realized his member would be so prominent, as he originally saw it in a less-than-ideal setting.

'I knew it was there,' he told Jimmy Kimmel in August of 2016, via People. 'But in the original clips, it was darker. It wasn’t on a big screen, like a life-sized version. It wasn’t an accident. Courtney was like, "I didn’t want to show it to you in the beginning because I didn’t think you needed to see it at that point … You just gotta take one for the team."'

Unfortunately, he also didn't realize that his family would get an eyeful of his nether regions.

'My aunt sees the show, and she’s like, "I’m traumatized!"' he said. 'She texted me like, "What the f***? Why didn’t you tell me?"'

Now that he's running his own studio, 50 Cent will likely have much more control over decisions like that on his future projects.
