A wing and a prayer! Pilot's miraculous save after hitting the ground while performing stunt

A pilot saved himself from crash landing his plane while brazenly performing a stunt in front of spectators. 

The pilot - who was flying a Van's RV-7A aircraft during the Allen Aeroclub in Rio Negro - came too close to the ground, as the plane's right wing shaved the landing. 

According to the Aviation Safety Network, the pilot escaped safely and landed with a destroyed right wingtip.  

Damage to the craft didn't go unnoticed by authorities, with the Argentinian Transportation and Safety Board launching an investigation into the mishap. 

'We were in front, and a piece of plastic from the plane flew at us and it continued as if nothing had happened,' one of the spectators told Aviation24.

'Nobody said anything, it seemed like part of the show,' he recounted, although the public is heard screaming in the videos released.
