Ashley Baustert, the mother of the LSU student who died in January after allegedly being raped, revealed the last text she received from her teenager before her tragic passing.
Speaking with Fox News Digital, Baustert said that late on Saturday night, January 14, she sent her daughter, Madison Brooks, a text that read: 'I'll see you tomorrow.'
The two were planning to meet the next morning to finish moving Brooks into her dorm for the start of her sophomore semester at LSU.
Brooks, who was at Reggie's Bar, sent a text back to her mother at 11.38pm that said, 'I love you!!!' and included a picture of her with one of her mother's sorority sister's sons.
About three-and-a-half hours later, Brooks was hit by a car and lay dying in the middle of a busy Baton Rouge, Louisiana parkway as rain poured onto the pavement.
First responders rushed the teenager to a local hospital, but she could not be saved.

Initially, investigators believed the 19-year-old died in a tragic, but not criminal car accident. But her mother said, 'I immediately knew that foul play was involved.'
'I know something was wrong. I know something terrible happened,' said Baustert. 'Based on the circumstances of how she was hit, where she was, the time and her being alone.'
The driver who hit Brooks remained on the scene with the dying girl and immediately called 911, according to police. Two Good Samaritans pulled over and tried to help save Brooks before medical personnel arrived.
Baustert booked it to the local hospital, which is about 90-minutes away in Louisiana. Brooks' father rushed in from Florida and other family members rushed to the local hospital.
The teenager's parents reached her in time to say their goodbyes 'while she was still breathing,' according to her mother.
'We found out that she's not going to make it, so my first and only priority was spending the last few moments that she had with her,' Baustert said.
Baustert's mother, Brooks' grandmother, said her focus once she got to the hospital, was keeping her daughter from falling apart.
'Police were at the hospital when we go there. Cops were outside the door. I wasn't thinking about anything. I was concerned about keeping her stable,' Bauster's mother, Mandy LeBlanc, said.
LeBlanc and her son, Baustert's brother, eventually made their way to Reggie's Bar following the tragedy, where they were to retrieve Brooks' cellphone, which she had left behind.
Baustert said that her daughter's phone being left behind was a major red flag and indicator that something bad had happened.

'We were like there's no way Madi put herself at three in the morning on the parkway in that neighborhood without her phone,' Baustert said. 'Like no one would do that.'
Reggie's Bar was located in Tigerland, a hot part of town for LSU students that has become a crime-ridden section of Baton Rouge.
After Brooks' phone was retrieved, her mother's suspicions were confirmed and the case turned into a criminal investigation.
Sometime between Brooks' 11.38pm text to her mother and the 3am crash that killed her, police said the young woman was allegedly raped by four men whom she met at the bar.
Desmond Carter, 17, Casen Carver, 18, Everett Lee, 28, and Kaivon Washington, 18, were all arrested in connection with the alleged rape.
After the alleged attack, some of the men pushed Brooks out of the car and onto the side of Burbank Highway, a busy, four-lane parkway several miles from the bar, it is alleged in criminal complaints.
At the time of her death, Brooks had an alcohol levels of .319 percent, which is nearly quadruple the legal limit to drive. Authorities believe Brooks stumbled into the street where she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

At present, Carter and Carver have indicted by grand juries on charges of first- and third-degree rape charges. Carter, who is 17, will be tried as an adult.
Washington and Lee are still waiting to e indicted, and have respectively been booked on charges of third-degree rape and principle to third-degree rape. Washington has also been arrested in connection with two prior rapes.
Each incremental step toward justice - including the indictments of two of the suspects on upgraded charges and the shutdown of Reggie's Bar - are 'moments to be thankful for,' according to Baustert.
