A passenger on a Caribbean cruise has been arrested after a hidden camera with video of dozens of people, including children, was discovered in a public restroom, officials said.
Jeremy Froias was arrested last Wednesday in Puerto Rico and charged with video voyeurism and attempted possession of child exploitation material, according to court documents.
Froias boarded Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas in Miami on April 29 for a seven-day cruise that was set to land at Sint Maarten, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas before returning to Miami this past Saturday.
A day after the voyage began while the ship was in international waters, Froias allegedly put a hidden Wi-Fi camera in a public restroom on the ship's top deck between a surfing simulator and a bar, officials said. A day after that, a passenger spotted the camera and alerted the ship's crew.
It is believed more than 150 passengers - including 40 children - were recorded using the bathroom and changing in and out of swimsuits.

Staff uncovered the camera shortly after it was reported by the passenger, with an FBI agent noting it had 'several hours' worth of .mp4 video files,' in a criminal complaint.
The footage on the card allegedly began with images of Froias installing the camera in the bathroom, and even adjusting its angle so that it better recorded the bathroom's toilet.
Scores of passengers were then filmed coming and going, with numerous - including children as young as four years old - being recorded naked as they changed clothing, according to court documents.
After being confronted by security staff, Froias allegedly admitted to having placed the camera in the bathroom.
Investigators are now reaching out to passengers to try to identify potential victims.
'The FBI believes he primarily targeted cruise ship passengers between the timeframe of April 30 and May 1, 2023, who may have used the public bathroom on the aft of The Harmony's top deck between the 'Flow Rider' surfing simulator and a bar. Passengers using this bathroom may have been video recorded by Froias,' the FBI wrote in an announcement.
Froias and the camera were eventually turned over to the FBI in Puerto Rico.
The bureau noted it is required to inform victims if they can be identified.

Froias was released on Monday under the custodial watch of his wife after posting a $25,000 bond, according to CNN.
He was ordered not to have any unsupervised contact with minors - including his own children - and is not allowed to use the internet. His passport was also surrendered, records showed.
An attorney for Froias told CNN his client 'has not been formally indicted. Therefore, I have no comments at this time.'
Royal Carribean told DailyMail.com that it immediately notified authorities when the camera was discovered.
'The matter was immediately reported to local and federal law enforcement and the guest involved was removed from the ship by authorities for further investigation. As this is an active case, we are unable to share any more details at this time,' the line said.
