Tom Brady has agreed to purchase a minority stake of the Las Vegas Raiders from owner Mark Davis, according to Monday Morning Quarterback's Albert Breer.

The sale has been agreed upon and submitted to the NFL for approval, which could take some time. There are no plans on addressing the sale at the upcoming spring meeting, Breer reports.

The size and cost of Brady's stake has not been revealed. Team spokespeople have not responded to DailyMail.com's request for confirmation.

Brady is already invested in another of Davis' teams: the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces.

The news comes as Brady prepares to begin a broadcasting career analyzing the NFL for Fox Sports. The recently retired Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback appeared on FS1 in February, telling host Colin Cowherd that he will wait to transition into the booth until the fall of 2024. Brady is also staying busy a spokesman, recently appearing in a new commercial for Hertz

Raiders fans could argue that Brady has always owned the team, dating back to the infamous 'Tuck Rule' playoff game in January of 2002.

It was the untested starting quarterback's first postseason game, and he didn't play particularly well. Brady completed 32 of 52 passes in a snowy Foxborough Stadium, failed to throw for a touchdown and was even intercepted.

Things could have been worse, though.

With the Patriots down 13-10 in the game's final moments, Brady was sacked by his former Michigan teammate, Raiders defensive back Charles Woodson. The ball came lose and Oakland recovered, seemingly ending the Patriots' chances of winning.

However, much to the dismay of Raiders Nation, the fumble was overturned on replay due to the Tuck Rule. Referee Walt Coleman ruled that Brady's arm was moving forward when the ball came lose, thereby turning a fumble and a costly turnover into an incomplete pass.

Given new life, Brady guided the Patriots offense deeper into Raiders territory, where Adam Vinatieri kicked the game-tying field goal.

The Patriots would win in overtime and go on to capture their first of six Lombardi Trophies with Brady under center.

Brady would play the Raiders six times in the regular season, posting a 5-1 record against the Oakland-Las Vegas franchise.

The Raiders were 6-11 in 2022 – their third season since moving from Oakland.

Previously, from 1982 through 1994, the team played in Los Angeles after originating as an AFL team in Oakland in 1960.

Interestingly, the new quarterback for the Raiders is Brady’s former backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, who signed with the team after a largely successful six-year run with the San Francisco 49ers.

Brady is not the only superstar looking to buy into a Las Vegas-based sports franchise. LeBron James previously stated his intention to buy an NBA expansion team in the market, although no firm plans have been announced.
