The sweater Wayne Gretzky was wearing when he scored his final NHL point in his last game in the league is up for auction.
Grey Flannel Auctions is putting up Gretzky's jersey he wore for the New York Rangers in his final game on April 18, 1999 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In that game, Gretzky - widely regarded as the greatest hockey player of all time - assisted Brian Leetch on a goal at the 19:30 mark of the second period.
The jersey is authenticated and confirmed by the Rangers as the genuine article of clothing Gretzky wore.
A letter from the Rangers' Vice President of Public Relations, John Rosasco, says that he personally witnessed Gretzky hand this jersey to Mike Barnett. Barnett was Gretzky's agent and he is putting this up for sale.

Gretzky signed his name to the jersey with the date in which he wore it, alongside a tag reading 'Game Jersey Set 2 1998-1999 season'.
'The Great One' wore three jerseys during his last game. The first one he gave to Rangers GM Neil Smith, the second is this one up for auction, and the third he kept for himself.
That third jersey, worn during the game's third period, is currently residing in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
Currently, there have been eleven bids on the item - with the current highest bid sitting at over $189,000.
