Tina Turner fans have been left baffled after discovering the eclectic array of accounts she followed on Instagram.
The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll passed away on Wednesday 'after a long illness in her home' in Switzerland, her publicist confirmed.
Following her death fans flocked to the singer's social media platforms and were shocked to learn that Tina followed just six accounts on Instagram, one of which was a surprising British star.
One of the chosen accounts was none other than former Popstars: The Rivals star, Cheryl, despite the fact the pair had never met.
While it doesn't seem the legendary performer ever crossed paths with the British singer she may have heard the rumours in 2010 that Cheryl - then Cheryl Cole - had decided to keep the surname of her ex-husband Ashley after being inspired by Tina, who kept ex Ike Turner's surname.

'Uhhh… why is one of the six people that Tina Turner follow is Cheryl Tweedy?! Lol'; 'Wait why is Cheryl one of only six people Tina Turner followed on Instagram [sic]'.
The other accounts followed by Tina were not as surprising.
One of the remaining six was Beyonce, who was a vocal fan of Tina and had performed tribute concerts in her honour,
Tina also followed Tony Award nominee Adrienne Warren, the first star to play Tina in the Broadway and West End musical productions based on her life.
TINA The Musical London was also another account followed by the Grammy-winning singer.
The final two accounts followed by Tina were Rhino Records and Parlophone Records.

Rock 'n' Roll star Tina shared a grim Instagram post about her kidney failure two months before her untimely death.
She opened up about her health struggles on International World Kidney Day on March 9, revealing she put herself in 'grave danger' by not taking her 1978 hypertension diagnosis seriously.
'My kidneys are victims of my not realising that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine,' she wrote.
'I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication.'
The post from March gave a glimpse of her final days as she added: 'For far too long I believed that my body was an untouchable and indestructible bastion.'
