A teenager in east Texas was arrested on capital murder charges after fatally shooting his parents, sister, and brother, all of whom he claimed were cannibals with plans to eat him.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Cesar Olalde, 18, told others that he 'had killed his family because they were cannibals, and they were going to eat him.'

Police responded to family's home in Nash, Texas, after a report that a person harmed his family and threatened to harm himself.

Officers arrived and spoke with Olalde, who told them he 'had pulled the trigger and shot his family,' according to the affidavit.

Authorities got the teen to surrender, and inside the home they found the murdered bodies of four family members.

After persuading the suspect to surrender, authorities found the bodies of his parents, Reuben Olalde and Aida Garcia, as well as Lisbet Olalde, his sister, and Oliver Olalde, his younger brother.

The affidavit read that 'it appeared as if the victims had been shot at various places in the residence and drug to the bathroom.'

Cartridge cases were found around the house and blood spatter was found on multiple surfaces.

According to the document, a coworker of Lisbet's had gone to the family home when she failed to show up at work and forced his way inside, where he was confronted by Cesar Olalde, who pointed a gun at him.

Police responded and detained him at the scene.

Olalde is currently being held on a $10million bond.

Nash is a town of fewer than 4,000 people that is located on the western edge of Texarkana near the border with Arkansas.

Robert Ward, a neighbor of the family in the small community, described the victims to local station KTBS as a 'beautiful family' comprised of 'hardworking' and 'extremely nice' people.

He said Lisbet had recently graduated from college and was planning to become a teacher, and that Cesar, whom he described as 'a good kid,' was making plans to become a plumber.

Ward knew the family for 12 years before the horrifying crime took place.

'What surprised me the most about it is who done it. He was such a good kid,' he said.
