Derrick White's stunning buzzer-beater on Saturday to force a Game 7 between the Celtics and Heat caused Skip Bayless to throw a 'fit' - one that he was still dealing with the blowback of on Monday.
White's tip-in against Miami brought the series back to Boston for a final decisive game, in which the Celtics limped to a 103-84 loss after winning the last three contests to recover from a 0-3 hole.
But after Boston's deflating Game 7 loss, Bayless offered a groveling apology to his wife, Ernestine, who was apparently mortified by his behavior during Game 6 - which prevented him from nailing his series prediction.
'Please forgive me, Ernestine,' Bayless wrote on Twitter.
'I am sorry about the fit I threw on Saturday night when I came within a tenth of a second of a great pick – Heat in 6. I am crazy happy now. YOU WERE RIGHT: You kept saying, 'There's still another game left.' Yes, but … YOU CALLED IT.'

And Skip Bayless said he 'threw a fit' after the result - angering his wife, Ernestine
Bayless said Monday on 'Undisputed' that Ernestine was 'still not speaking to me' after the incident.
While it took an extra game, Bayless ultimately predicted the correct Eastern Conference champion as the Heat won in commanding fashion on the road Monday night.
And the analyst isn't done putting his faith in the No. 8 seed.

'I'm here to tell you they will not get exposed,' he said Tuesday on 'Undisputed.'
'I'm here to go one more time around with the Miami Heat. I'm going Heat in six over the Nuggets. Why, because the Heat will prove to be a little mentally tougher than a Nuggets team that hasn't been on this stage.'
Miami has now reached the Finals for the second time in four seasons, while the franchise has failed to reach the conference finals just once (2020-21) in that span.
Denver, meanwhile, had never been past the conference finals before this year with Nikola Jokic, who is averaging a triple-double and nearly 30 points per contest this postseason.
