LSU unveiled brand new incredible air-conditioned helmets for its football team this week, letting players test them out.

With games at home in Baton Rouge, one in Orlando, one in Starkville, Miss., and one in Oxford, Miss., this September, the Tigers gave launched a plan to beat the heat.

The football program revealed its new ploy this week, debuting the air-conditioned helmets the team will wear for all practices and games in 2023.

The helmets have been created by Louisiana-based company called Tigeraire, who shared a clip to its social media pages of some LSU stars trying on their new pieces of equipment.

They were left impressed with defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo saying: 'It feels hella good, actually.'

'That feels good, bro!' tight end Mac Markway exclaimed as he slipped it on. 'If I'm running in this, I ain't sweating … at all. It's like, cold.'

The helmets operate on a 'next-level' battery-powered system that has a five-hour lifespan before needing to be charged and lasts up to four years, according to sports business expert Joe Pompliano.

The helmets will give the Tigers a huge advantage when travelling to play Mississippi State where temperatures could reach triple figures.

In particular, quarterback Jayden Daniels could be helped to be kept cool and controlled under center.

However, other SEC schools could look to invest in similar technology to keep up with LSU's revolutionary techniques.

The Tigers, who are entering their second year with head coach Brian Kelly, are coming off a 10-4 season (6-2 in SEC play), which was topped off by a 63-7 thrashing of Purdue in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl and winning the SEC West.
