Professional gamer Karel Asenbrener has been found dead at 19, after posting a tweet reading 'Good night' on Tuesday.
The esports star's team, Vitality, broke the news on Wednesday, saying in a statement that they were 'deeply saddened' by the 'devastating loss', TMZ reported.
Asenbrener, who played the 5v5 character-based tactical shooter game Valorant, recently revealed he had spent time in a mental hospital for depression.
The Czech player told a press conference in February he was having a 'rough time in personal life' and that he had 'been dealing with Depression for over two years now.'
The young star explained he had self-harmed over the Christmas holiday in Prague and had therefore entered a mental health institution.

'After that I had a new fresh start and was able to thankfully get my sh*t together.

'I woke up this morning to the news of one of my closest friends, someone who genuinely felt as if he was my brother, taking his own life. Words can not describe the grief or emptiness i'm feeling right now,' Mepham wrote.
