New York Jets' Aaron Rodgers joked that his new quarterback rival Zach Wilson hasn't followed through on his threat to make life in the Big Apple tough for the veteran after his trade.
Last season, Wilson made headlines when he told reporters that if New York acquired a veteran QB during the offseason he would 'make that dude's life hell in practice every day.'
When Rodgers landed in New York after the Jets acquired him from the Green Bay Packers in April, he liked a tweet from Barstool Sports republishing Wilson's now infamous quotes.
But the youngster seemingly hasn't gone after his quarterback rival as Rodgers praised his new teammate as 'incredible.'
The 39-year-old joked with reporters during his media duties Friday, saying: 'He's been incredible. He hasn't made my life hell everyday.'

Back in January, Wilson said: 'I'm gonna make that dude's life hell in practice every day. I'm gonna go out there and do my best to show the coaches that I deserve to be there. It's not in a negative way, it's in a positive way. It's making everybody else better, hopefully.'
However, Wilson appears to have adapted to the situation well after Rodgers ended his 18-year tenure in Green Bay that saw him win a Super Bowl and four MVP awards.
New York received not only Rodgers but the Packers' No. 15 pick and a fifth-rounder in Thursday's NFL Draft.
In exchange, Green Bay receive the Jets' 13th overall draft choice, plus its second and sixth-rounder, and a conditional 2024 second-round pick, which will become a first if Rodgers plays 65 percent of snaps this season.

At the time Jets GM Joe Douglas said he planned to keep Wilson on the roster moving forward
The Jets appear hopeful that Wilson will learn under the wing of a veteran such as Rodgers.
Wilson endured a fall from grace since being the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. He's thrown 15 touchdowns, 18 interceptions and has an 8-14 record in 22 career starts.
'I think this is going to be a great thing for Zach,' Douglas said of his backup quarterback, following the trade for Rodgers.
'Zach's ceiling is unlimited. The opportunity to shadow and be with a first-ballot Hall of Fame QB will be a great opportunity and experience.'
