Six people were injured, one critically, after a dispute inside a Houston nightclub spilled out into the parking lot and a gunman fired into the crowd.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday following the disturbance inside the Tabú Restaurant & Lounge near the Galleria area, Chief Troy Finner said this morning.
'Somebody fired into a crowded parking lot,' Finner said.
One of the victims - a man- is in critical condition and underwent surgery. Five other victims are in stable condition, Finner said. The victims are in their late 20s to early 30s.
Finner said that no one has been arrested for the shooting. Police are reviewing surveillance footage to help identify any suspects.

'It makes no sense to fire up into a crowded parking lot,' Finner said during a Sunday press conference. 'Make no mistake about it, we're gonna find out who did it. We're gonna hold them accountable.'
Houston police responded to the scene around 2:10 a.m. in the 6000 block of Richmond Avenue outside the club.
'We had six victims here in a shooting,' Finner said. 'Apparently there was some kind of disturbance in the club that came out into the parking lot.'
Five of the victims remain hospitalized in stable condition. One man is out of surgery but is in critical condition, Finner said.
'We're just praying that he's going to make it,' Finner said.
'Everybody else is in stable condition but we expect them to make it, so just prayers out to the family of the one victim who has just got out of surgery — I hope he's going to be alright.'

There have been many issues in the past with the club, Finner pointed out.
'They've had problems here before and we're gonna look into that to make sure we're doing everything we can do,' Finner said.
Police cautioned partygoers as crime escalates in the summer.
They advised patrons to leave bars and clubs before closing and to also avoid large crowds trying to leave venues at the end of the night.
