The body of missing Minnesota mom Madeline Kingsbury was found in a remote highway area wrapped in a fitted sheet and sealed with Gorilla tape that matched tape found at the home she shared with her ex.

Kingsbury, 26, went missing at the end of March and her remains were found on June 7 in a remote area near the home where her ex, Adam Fravel, was raised in Mabel.

A criminal complaint against Fravel, 29, states that the sheet her remains were wrapped in matched a set found at the home she shared with the father of her kids.

The ex-boyfriend has since been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection to her disappearance and death.

Kingsbury disappeared after dropping off her two kids at daycare and Fravel was immediately suspected to have been involved as he was the last to see her alive.

The criminal complaint against the father of Kingsbury's two children indicates that the Gorilla tape used on top of the sheet matched one found at their home.

The color and width were the same, the complaint states.

In their home, gray pillowcases matching the fitted sheet Kingsbury was found in were found on an air mattress.

The sheet that accompanied the pillowcases was nowhere to be found at the time.

The criminal complaint shared other shocking revelations including the assertion that Fravel was 'infatuated' with the Gabby Petito murder case.

He allegedly threatened Kingsbury and told her that if she didn't 'listen up" she would end up like Petito.

According to the complaint, police have video evidence of a person believed to be Fravel switching out the license plate on Kingsbury's van the day she disappeared.

The video reportedly shows the van pulling out of the home and driving away with plates typically attached to a vehicle Fravel drives.

The van was next caught driving on Highway 43 in the same area where Kingsbury's body was found two months later.

Police say there was a 45-minute gap in Fravel's timeline and that they believe that is the time the ex-boyfriend used to dump the body.

Fravel had also allegedly abused Kingsbury throughout their on-again-off-again relationship, which was wrought with jealousy.

At one point, a friend reported that she saw Fravel hit Kingsbury across her face on a video call. That friend said Fravel didn't know he was being observed.

Family members of the woman said on another occasion they saw him put his hands around her neck. After that incident, Kingsbury reportedly walked around red marks.

Friends said she would often cover her neck with sweaters when she was on video calls with others, as well.

In September 2021, Fravel exchanged unsettling messages with Kingsbury in which he said she would get over a domestic violence incident.

'I'm really not okay with.. the fact that you put your hand around my neck and pushed me down in front of the kids earlier so, don't,' Kingsbury wrote.

'You'll adjust,' Fravel responded.

Additionally, the man told investigators that their relationship wasn't working out and that Kingsbury was involved with another person.

On Friday, Fravel made his first appearance in Winona County Court.

According to the complaint, he has denied involvement in Kingsbury's death.  Following his arrest, his bail was set at $1 million.

He has been ordered to appear at all upcoming court dates, abstain from drugs and alcohol, and not contact Madeline's family

Fravel will next appear in court on July 20.
