Thrift shopper makes a VERY surprising discovery inside purse at Goodwill

A thrifty shopper made a very surprising discovery inside an old purse at Goodwill.

Frio, who uses them/they pronouns, took to TikTok to reveal the unexpected windfall which was tucked away in a pocket book.

The eco-conscious designer, 24, from Highland Point, California, found a wad of cash totaling $45 - and is now encouraging other shoppers to keep an eye out in thrift stores.

And dozens of social media users have flooded to the comments in awe at the discovery.

The 24-year-old uploaded the clip alongside a caption that read: 'Imma be hard core checking every bag at the thrift from here on out'

In the clip, which has so far been viewed 2.3 million times, Frio focuses the camera on their find.

They open up the decorative black purse and narrate: 'Okay, I always hear people say check the bags at thrift stores and I finally did it.

'At first all I found was a couple of envelopes and then bam... a whole freaking wad of cash.'

Frio zooms in on the stash of dollars hidden in the center pocket before continuing: 'I counted it and it came up to $45. 

'It even had this cool older $20 bill.'

They uploaded the clip alongside a caption that read: 'Imma be hard core checking every bag at the thrift from here on out.' 

The clip came to an end but Frio elaborated further on the situation in the comments.

Asked if they brought the bag or just took the cash, the savvy shopper revealed: 'I didn't end up keeping it but really needed the money so it felt meant to be!'

And dozens of social media users have flooded to the comments in awe at the discovery and were inspired to follow suit

But, nonetheless, other social media users were seemingly inspired by the discovery.

One wrote: 'Guess I'm going thrifting tomorrow.'

Another added: 'I'm about to go frantically dig through the bins looking for purses.' 

And a third said: 'Gonna start going to thrift stores just to look lmao. 

'I can't believe that. I check every pocket of everything before donating cause I'm insane.'
