Tom Kim with a stirring putt on 7th to stay at -3. Real confidence-booster for the South Korean!
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is in the house watching players tee off. The Super Bowl champ partaking in an interview with ESPN.
Matsuyama unable to birdie again on the difficult 7th big opportunity blown to move to -3.
Hideki Matsuyama is enjoying the same fortune on the front nine as Cantlay and Lowry as he rolls in three birdies in four holes, taking him to two under for the week.
And that's how you bounce back.
Morikawa doesn't allow the double bogey at the second to become a card-wrecker as he immediately snatches a shot back at the par-four third, holing out from around 10 feet for the birdie.
As mentioned earlier, JUT has been providing the commentary from home today after missing the cut at LACC.
And he claimed it's the 'lowest he's felt.'

It's go time
Morikawa has suffered a meltdown on the second. It's not quite as bad as Dustin Johnson's yesterday but it still doesn't make for pretty viewing.
He hits his second shot from the bunker well wide left into the thick rough. With grass practically knee-height, he's got a real hacking on on his hands. His first attempt out barely moves, nudged just a foot forward.
He finally makes his out with his fourth but massively overshoots the pin and has a job just to get down from there in two. He does manage it and limits the damage.
The 51-year-old and current US Senior Open champion rolls back the years at the par-five eighth.
The Irishman finds the dancefloor in two and polishes it off by sinking a 12-footer.
The back nine is definitely tougher at LACC this week as Shane Lowry is discovering.
He went out in 31 but back-to-back bogeys at 11 and 12 knocks him back to even for the week
Rahm has just ripped one off the 14th tee and you can hear the screeching from the former Playboy mansion's garden zoo, which borders the course, on the broadcast.
Rahm had been making moves up the leaderboard but he hands one back on the 12th.
However, He follows it up with a terrific par save on the 13th to limit the damage. He belts his tee shot, almost too well, as it catches the slope and just keeps going all the way into the rough on the right.
He does well to get it out but it's shockingly left in 14th tee box territory. But a sensational pitch on stops with in two feet on the pin and Rahm walks away with a par.
Reigning champion Matt Fitzpatrick looks a far way off defending his title but he's giving it a good try!
He wows by sticking in a worldie of an approach shot on the first to within two feet of the pin and taps in for an opening birdie.
Back-to-back birdies at eight and nine see Lowry hit the turn in an impressive four-under 31. He looked like he had no hope at the beginning for the day but if he can keep this run up on the back nine, things could look interesting for Lowry ahead of the final round.
Cantlay is rivalling him for the best round so far at three-under for the day. He birdies the par-four sixth with his shot out of the bunker hitting the back of the green but not getting the spin back as expected. No matter, he eases the birdie putt down the hill and in to get into the red for the week.
JT may not have made it to the weekend but he's still giving his thoughts from home
Eight is one of the easier holes today and both Fleetwood and Lowry take advantage.
The Englishman fires in a beauty of a second shot to within eight feet of the pin, setting up an eagle which he sadly can't convert. But he does at least bag himself a birdie and claws his way back to one over.
Meanwhile, Lowry looks to have landed himself in trouble with his second ending up left but his short game continues to be impeccable and a tidy up and down in two from there also sees him pick up a shot.
Just off the green at eight, Rahm has an eagle chance - he could really do with this going in after a sluggish start to his round and for so so long this one looks like it's going in... but, no, it just trickles past, flirting with the left edge of the cup.
He just can't catch a break today, can he? Still the birdie will do for Rahm.
Both Fleetwood and Lowry have found the theskew on the bank in front of the raised sixth green. It's the Englishman to go first and, my god, has he made a mess of that!
Fleetwood absolutely fluffs his pitch out of the thick stuff. It was a tricky shot with the pin at the front left of the sliver of a green and he's understandably feeling he has to be delicate with it. But he doesn't give it nearly enough power and watches in disbelief as it plops back into the rough.
He gives it another go and incredibly still doesn't give it enough. He's at least found the green this time but the fluffy shot is going to cost him a testy par putt.
He seems a bit rattled as the putt was never threatening the hole and it's a bogey for Fleetwood.
Lowry, meanwhile, has come away unscathed with a par. He visibly lets out a sigh of relief. Yeah, that one looked like hard work Shane.
A phenomenal approach shot into the first green from Abraham Ancer sets up an incredible eagle chance.
He's only got around three foot to pick up two shots and rolls it in. Never in doubt.
The par-four sixth, playing 313 yards today, lands Rahm in some trouble as he finds the bunker at the back on the green. It's a monster of a tee shot but so unlucky that it's too far.
He has absolutely no shot - at least not one towards the hole. He's forced to play out backwards towards the right edge of the green. He tries to use the little bank to feed it back onto the green but it stops on the fringes.
To salvage the hole he pulls a shot out of the bag that would have made Seve proud. Opting to chip from the fringe instead of putt, clips it on, landing on the back edge and the ball continues rolling all the way down the steep green to about ten feet below the hole.
He takes his medicine and it's the smart move as he makes one of the most remarkable pars we'll see today.
Shane Lowry is battling early on with back-to-back birdies at two and three.
A stunning approach shot on the second sets up the first for the Irishman. He then dials in a 113-yard iron shot close into the pin for an almost tap-in birdie on the third. He's back to level for the week.
Meanwhile, his playing partner Tommy Fleetwood bagged a birdie of his own on the first. Between them that's now one on every hole in this pairing.
Nineteen amateurs made it to LACC this week, just four have made it to the weekend.
Gordon Sargent is leading the battle for low amateur heading into Round Three ahead of Maxwell Moldovan, Aldrich Potgieter and Ben Carr, who all made the cut on the number.
Sargent is already a rising star, as No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. He was the 2022 NCAA Division I champion for Vanderbilt University, and the rising junior is competing in his first U.S. Open.
Rahm also opens with a birdie!
Yesterday, he holed an eagle from downtown but has to settle for a birdie today. Still it's a move in the right direction for the Spaniard. Could he climb the leaderboard?
His playing partner, Hadwin, who was tackled by a security guard at the Canadian Open last week while trying to celebrate countryman Nick Taylor's win, walks off with a par.
Our round-starter Ryan Fox is also underway ahead of Rahm. He's playing as a one due to the uneven number in the field and has the director of golf at LACC alongside him to help with pace.
He has challenge to get himself up the leaderboard but he's giving it his best effort opening with a birdie! That brings him up to one-over.
Masters champion Jon Rahm has got his third round underway!
It's a surprisingly early tee time for the Spaniard but a frustrating round yesterday landed him at two over for the tournament.
He'll have a lot of work today and will hope to start it off with a birdie.
The most recent major championship winner, Brooks Koepka, has not been the biggest fan of the Los Angeles Country Club this week.
While some golfers, like Rickie Fowler, Wyndham Clark, and Xander Schauffele have been able to rack up successes at the course, Koepka is not among them.
The reigning PGA Championship winner is sitting at even par after 36 holes, good enough to make the cut and be tied for 30th.
But that doesn't mean that Koepka is enjoying the environment a in which he is playing.

Day Three is moving day, traditionally the round where players can suddenly work themselves into contention or, just as easily, finding themselves tumbling down.
So, who could be the movers and shakers today?
Min Woo Lee's 65 was the best of Round Two and saw him rocket up the leaderboard. He sits juts four shots back, if he keeps it up today he could continue his surge upwards.
Meanwhile, the usual suspects Dustin Johnson, Scottie Scheffler and Cam Smith are all lurking on the front page of the leaderboard.
Gary Woodland, who won the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach, is also poised to make a pounce at two under with the likes of Brian Harman, Dylan Wu and Denny McCarthy.
Bryson DeChambeau, Si Woo Kim, Sam Burns and Viktor Hovland, who's fresh off a win at The Memorial a couple of weeks ago, are all at one-under and just need a good run to play themselves into contention.
We've already had three holes-in-one already at LACC this week and an almost-ace from Rory McIlroy but we could be getting a few more today!
The par-three 15th is playing just 83 yards for Round Three, so get the popcorn ready we could be in for a show in Hollywood
After a couple of tough weeks recently amid the backdrop of golf's politics, McIlroy is back in business.
He'll be heading out in the penultimate pairing this afternoon, two shots off the lead.
This year marks the fourth time that the Northern Irishman has shot in the 60s in both of the first two rounds of a US Open, having done it in 2011, 2019 and 2022. According to the USGA, no other player has done it as many times.
It's set to be slightly warmed in Los Angeles today!
The sun is trying to break through the June Gloom but similarly to yesterday it will be cloudy early on.
However, the sun will come out in the afternoon and with the SoCal heat beating down on the fairways and greens will likely firm up, presenting a bit more of a challenge for the players with later tee times.
Rickie Fowler has always been a fan favorite but he hasn't been wowing the galleries too often in recent years - until this week.
A year ago, Fowler was stood on the practice range at The Country Club in Brookline, waiting and hoping that he might get a chance to tee off at the tournament.
He was the second alternate at the 2022 US Open, holding out for the news that someone might just pull out of the event, giving him a ticket to compete.
No one withdrew and Fowler, one of the PGA Tour's nicest guys, sadly missed out. It would be his first absence from the US Open since 2010, adding also to what has been a frustrating few seasons for the 2015 Players Championship winner.
On Thursday, he carded one of the lowest rounds ever seen at a Major championship. While his achievement was equalled by Xander Schauffele, who also shot a 62, it was a momentous day for Fowler considering how he's battled through problems with his swing in recent years

There had been some claims over Rounds One and Two that LACC was playing too easy for a US Open course with too many birdies but I don't think the USGA brass will get any complaints today...
Our overnight leader won't be out until much later today with Fowler set to tee off at 6.40pm ET with Wydnham Clark who had held the clubhouse lead after a stunning second round in the morning.

We're back for another day of action in Hollywood as Day Three of the 123rd US Open gets underway.
A sweep of big names missed the cut yesterday, including Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson, but the Rickie redemption continued as Fowler clung on to his spot at the top of the leaderboard amid a turbulent round.
We'll be bringing you all the live updates from LACC as he looks to fend off Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark on moving day.
