Artist recreates hyper-realistic versions of beloved Disney characters

Disney characters have been realistically recreated into people, all thanks to AI.

Digital artist Hidreley Leli Diao, from Brazil, has reimagined characters such as Moana, Ariel, Prince Eric, Aladdin and much more.

The hyper-realistic images were generated using 'Photoshop and three mobile applications, FaceApp, Gradiente and Remini.'

Hidreley, who is a contributing writer for Bored Panda, said: 'With the rise of AI-assisted art generation, there are virtually (no pun intended) no boundaries for digital art, you just have to be creative and know how to guide the blind hand of the machine.'

With more than 346,000 followers, this isn't the first time that Hidreley's AI designs have gone viral. He previously created real-life versions of Simpsons characters.

So can you guess who these Disney characters are?

1: He swept a girl off her feet

This Disney character was introduced to fans back in 1989. He fell in love with the girl that rescued him from drowning, but she disappears. With only her beautiful voice as his guide, he goes on a search to find and marry her

2: A villain that resides under the sea

She took someone's voice away for three days in exchange for them to become human. She then transforms into a young woman who hypnotizes a man to try and get him to marry her

3: She discovers 'a whole new world'

This Disney princess has a pet tiger and her father wants her to have an arranged marriage, but she prefers to marry out of love instead

4: A hero inspired by Greek mythology

He went from 'zero to hero.' He lost his immortality when he was young and had to prove why he deserved to live with the gods at Mount Olympus

5: She won't let her stepdaughter leave the house

She has two daughters and she makes her stepdaughter do all the chores. When a prince comes around looking for the mysterious owner of a glass slipper he wants to marry, she locks her stepdaughter in her room in the attic

6: She is the daughter of the chief

She was chosen by the ocean to return the stolen heart of Te Fiti. She uses the help of a demigod to learn how to sail across the ocean to do so, and save her people

7: Scrapbooks hold a lot of value for him

His house travels around with the help of balloons and a young boy with his dog joins him. He goes on the journey of completing his late wife's travel bucket list

8: She befriended seven helpful dwarfs

She takes a bite out of a poisonous apple given to her by her evil queen stepmother, masquerading as an old hag, and faints from eating it. She gets a 'true love's kiss' and magically wakes up

9: He was saved from being killed by a Disney princess

In this 1995 Disney film, his English counterparts attacked a native village, however he falls in love with the chief's daughter. His character is loosely based on an explorer with the same name

10: She transforms into an old woman

Her signature line is 'Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?' She turns on her own stepdaughter after finding out she was the most beautiful woman in the land, and sets out to destroy her

His sidekicks are a group of lost boys and a pixie. He stars in a movie based on the novel by Scottish novelist J. M. Barrie. This Disney protagonist never wants to grow up, and he always wants to fly far away to a magical land full of fairies, pirates, and mermaids
