A mother-to-be copped pink powder to the face after a gender reveal went awry.
Trinnie Dang and Gilbert H Hwang, from California, invited their family and friends over for a celebratory party to reveal their baby's gender.
The couple got married in September, and the family with two young boys already were excited to announce the newest addition.
For the reveal, Trinnie donned boxing gloves as her partner wore a punching pad with a bag of colored powder attached.
When Trinnie Dang's (pictured) colored powder bag burst open from her punch, the pink powder blasted onto her face
California based couple Trinnie and Gilbert H Hwang (both pictured) invited family and friends to their gender reveal, but their once-adorable idea didn't go as planned
The idea was to let Trinnie hit the pad so it burst, revealing the gender of their baby.
But it didn't go as planned when the mom, who was wearing a white dress, punched the colored powder bag open, covering her face and chest in pink.
In the video she appears to be visibly overwhelmed as she takes a step back and nearly falls over.
Her husband attempts to blow some powder off of her face, but doesn't succeed.
She tries to regroup and laugh off the mishap that happened in front of her family and friends.
Gilbert attempts to celebrate the moment and goes in for a kiss, but Trinnie still has her eyes and mouth closed to keep the powder out and walks off.
Once the shock wears off, the couple seal the celebration with a kiss and pose for photos.
Trinnie posted the video and wrote: 'It was fail attempt & second try, my sis [overstuffed] the bag. The powder got in my eyes & mouth.

Meanwhile others questioned if gender reveals had gone too far now
'We [are] both [overjoyed] regarding #failgenderreveal #failrevealparty #fail.'
Some congratulated the couple on their new addition after the gender reveal fail.
'This is too cute. Congrats!!!' one person wrote.
'Can't wait to meet you my little princess,' another added.
'Strong girl is coming,' a third comment read.
Meanwhile others were quick to question how far gender reveals had gone.
One person wrote: 'Lord... just go back to making pink or blue cupcakes before someone gets put in the hospital.'
Another commented in jest: 'Lord c'mon did they really not see this happening.'
A third had health concerns, writing: 'That can't be good for you.'
This is just the latest video in a long line of failed gender reveals, including a car catching fire from its blue smoke, and a huge balloon flying away after the dad hit it with a lacrosse stick without any luck of popping it.
