A YouTube star marred by controversy including accusations of 'grooming' and using the n-word appears to have used black face while performing Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies.'
Colleen Ballinger, 36, whose online persona Miranda Sings gained global attention when it was turned into the Netflix series Haters Back Off!, reentered the spotlight after a video of the performance from 2018 resurfaced.
Ballinger has been at the center of a number of allegations including an ex-employee, who is black, calling her out for racism and writing disturbing plotlines for the now cancelled show that floated 'incestuous innuendo'.
Earlier, the 36-year-old was also exposed for alleged 'grooming' of her fan base claims she vehemently denied in a bizarre response on YouTube where she sings about the incidents.
The original video uploaded in February 2018, resurfaced July 5 and shows Ballinger in black face performing the popular song.
A new video has emerged in which Colleen Ballinger, 36, appeared in blackface and danced to Beyoncé's hit song Single Ladies while singing the lyrics
Ballinger made a name for herself through her Miranda Sings YouTube channel, which now has more than 10 million subscribers, and produced content consumed mostly by teenagers. She is pictured at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in LA this March
In that video, Ballinger appears in front of two other dancers, neither of whom are wearing blackface.
She and the two backup dancers are seen performing dance moves from the original video clip while Ballinger awkwardly bobs in front of them.
The YouTuber can be heard singing in what appears to be in parody of the original song - her voice guttural and off-key.
The incident has triggered a new onslaught of criticism against the online personality, who spoke about this performance in one of her books and linked to it via URL contained in a QR code.
The three-and-a-half-minute video was uploaded to her own YouTube channel in February 2018 but was unlisted, meaning that only those with the link are able to view it.
As of Wednesday evening, it had around 10,000 views and featured many similar comments suggesting a new apology would need to be forthcoming.
One Twitter user, who first shared the video on Wednesday to Twitter, shared the excerpt from Ballinger's book which linked to the video.
'I have reason to believe due to the shows on for 'naked boys singing' that the video was from around summer of 2010 & posted unlisted to accompany the book in 2018,' they wrote.

Former staffer of the Netflix series about Miranda Singer, Haters Back Off, April Korto Quioh, has accused the show's star Colleen Ballinger of using the n-word and writing disturbing plotlines

Her Netflix show Haters Back Off is based on her internet persona Miranda Sings and tells the story of an up-and-coming personality trying to make in on YouTube.
The crude video comes after a revealing article on apologizetome.com, written by former writers' assistant April Korto Quioh and published on June 30, made claims about the 'cruelty' displayed by Ballinger during the two seasons she worked on the show.
Quioh claims she was the 'only black person in the office' but 'knew how to make nice in a white space' adding that she was consistently confronted by racist and worrying on-set behavior.
'I recall overhearing [Ballinger] once brag that a creator was being 'cancelled' for saying the n-word (and if you think she went with 'n-word' instead of hitting that hard 'r' then you haven't been paying attention) and that she would never be stupid enough to get caught doing something like that,' she wrote.
'She often pitched stories in which Miranda and Uncle Jim would be caught in compromising positions or stomach-churning moments of intimacy that could always be easily explained away by a clueless Miranda,' she said.
In one instance Quioh had been asked to look for 'mockups' of the 'Daddy Saddle' - a prop that Ballinger used on the show to ride on her uncle's back.
She also claims to have been forced to mark points in the scripts where Ballinger thought 'Uncle Jim' could be even more 'r***y.'
Quioh said she was shocked by the show's predominantly younger audience and the hours she claims Ballinger spent trying to 'think of a way to show Miranda and Uncle Jim all but having sex on screen.'
Ballinger has also been accused of grooming her younger fans.
She later addressed the allegations in a bizarre song posted to her YouTube channel in which she denied being a 'groomer' or a 'predator,' but instead insisted she was just a 'loser' who messaged her fans in an effort to be cool.

She used music to address the allegations and sing her side of the story while playing a ukulele, in the 10 minute video.
In the clip, which she titled 'hi', Ballinger strums her ukulele while addressing what she calls 'the facts'.
And while her team 'strongly advised' her to 'not say what I want to say,' she went on to reveal that they never told her she couldn't sing.
Backlash has been levied against the once-beloved YouTube star in recent weeks after a former fan - who goes by the username 'kodeerants' - corroborated allegations made by Adam McIntyre, a YouTuber and also a former Ballinger fan.
In April 2020, McIntyre uploaded an over 25-minute YouTube video alleging that Ballinger had been inappropriately messaging him, as well as other mostly underage fans, in a private group chat.
According to screenshots provided by McIntyre, someone who appeared to be Ballinger asked fans to name their 'fav [sex] position,' as well as to share their experience with 'periods' and about whether or not they are virgins.
McIntyre recalled receiving a bra and panty set from the YouTube star when he was 13 - something Ballinger later admitted was a 'silly, stupid mistake' that occurred during a live stream when she was giving away clothes and items she did not want.
