Suspect is arrested after stabbing three people in different locations - including a McDonald's - across North Carolina town

Several people have been stabbed at different locations, including at a McDonald's in Oxford, North Carolina, on Monday morning.

Granville County Sheriff Robert Fountain confirmed that a suspect - who allegedly stabbed 'three or four' people - has been taken into custody.

Police chased the suspect on Interstate 85 North before they were arrested. 

One person was stabbed at McDonald's on MLK Jr Avenue and East Industry Drive. Customers have been barred from entering while law enforcement search the location. 

Another attacks occurred at a Walmart supercenter on Lewis Street - and a third happened along Belle Street.

The McDonald's on MLK Jr Avenue and East Industry Drive is where one of the people were stabbed on Monday morning. It's unclear what the motive is 

All of the stabbing victims were rushed to hospitals outside of Granville County.

Their conditions have not been released.  

Oxford Police Chief Pat Ford said that all of the knifings appeared to be random - but an investigation is underway to determine the motive. 

Ford said that the suspect's name has not been released at this time.
