When Carlee Russell's family and friends begged for help to find her after she vanished on an Alabama interstate, the country rallied behind her. 

But nearly a week later, and with police now certain there is no proof to her story she was  'abducted' then escaped from her captors, the good will she enjoyed from strangers has turned into rage and mockery.
