Sandra Bernhard and AOC team up on the picket line Monday in New York as actors continue their strike for more wages and protections

Sandra Bernhard and other striking actors were joined by a high profile politician as they walked the picket line Monday in New York. 

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed up to march with a large group who were carrying signs and chanting. 

Sandra, 68, looked comfortable in a white SAG AFTRA T-shirt and lightweight navy blue pants. 

The American Horror Story actress wore natural looking makeup and styled her red hair in loose waves.

The Pose star wore dark sunglasses.

The democratic lawmaker who represents The Bronx, donned black T-shirt with SAG AFTRA Strong written on it. 

Her dark hair was styled in a half ponytail and she wore natural looking makeup with her trademark red lip. 

The Member of the US House, who is in her second term, joined with other protestors as they shouted 'Get up, get down, New York is a Union town,' in a video shared on Sandra's Instagram page. 

'Honey Miss @aoc showed up for us today!,' the Roseanne actress wrote next to the video.

'Never forget where our ally’s (sic) stand. Of course she wants @sagaftra members to be protected because she is pro union!' the comedian said. 

'She’s a @thedemocrats, she cares deeply about the working class as we all must.' Sandra continued.

'It was a great day on the picket line made new friends deepened my respect for my fellow actors good people caring solid kind support them & all union workers!'

AOC, 33, was just as enthusiastic about walking the picket line.

'Our solidarity is stronger than their greed,' she wrote next her own video post on social media. 

In the video, the  former bartender and waitress explained, 'We have workers all across the country either currently on strike or gearing up to be on strike,' she said referring not only to the current writes and actors strikes, but a pending strike that could put some 340,000 UPS employees on the picket line August 1 if the union and management can't come to an agreement. 

'At the end of the day we are all confronting the same challenge, which is an unacceptable, unprecedented concentration of wealth and corporate greed in America. But we know that the way that we bust that up is by standing together in solidarity,' the policymaker said.  

'Frankly, while this is a fight against AI, more than AI,' she said referring to concerns that actors' images and performances could be digitally manipulated, or that studios could us artificial intelligence instead of humans to write scripts, 'this is a fight against greed, she said.

'How many private jets does David Zaslav need?' she asked referring to the current CEO and president of Warner/Discovery.  One of Monday's picket lines was in front of the media company's offices. 

'For real? How many private jets do these CEOs need?'

'It is insatiable. It is unacceptable and I do not know how any person can say "I need another hundred million dollars before another person can have healthcare." Who does that?' she asked.

The chief global strategist at the Milliken Institute told Yahoo Finance, the combined writers and actors strikes could result in a $4 billion hit to the US economy. 

If UPS workers walk, The Anderson Economic Group estimated 'a 10-day walkout would cost the U.S. economy some $7 billion, with workers racking up $1.1 billion in lost wages and UPS seeing $816 million in losses.'
