Tafari Campbell, the Obamas' private chef who died in a freak paddle boarding accident on Sunday, had no external trauma injuries when he was pulled from the water, police announced today.
It remains unclear exactly what his cause of death was. The medical examiner is awaiting the results of a toxicology report before making their ruling. Those results are not expected for several weeks, a Massachusetts State Police spokesman said.
While they remain outstanding, the current evidence suggests his death is not suspicious, the spokesman added.

'The on-scene observation of the victim by State Police personnel and the post-mortem examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner revealed no external trauma or injuries,' the police spokesperson said.
Campbell, 45, was seen falling off his board in Great Edgartown Pond on Sunday night at 7.49pm.
Malia and Sasha Obama were seen leaving Martha's Vineyard on Tuesday
He was paddle boarding with one other person who has not yet been named.
That person told police they saw him entering the water then struggle briefly to reach the surface before becoming completely submerged.
He had worked for the Obama family for 14 years - first in the White House and then privately - when he died.
In a statement, Barack and Michelle Obama described him as a 'beloved part of the family.'
Malia and Sasha Obama, the couple's daughters, were seen leaving Martha's Vineyard yesterday, two days after the accident.
Campbell's wife, Sherise, said she would be heartbroken 'forever'.
