The shocking moment four Wisconsin cops violently restrained an innocent black man holding a baby in a restaurant has been caught on camera.
An internal investigation has been launched after the Illinois man was pulled away from dining in Kenosha with his family at Applebees, knocked to the ground and repeatedly struck in the head on July 20.
Cops wrongly suspected the man of being involved in a hit and run on Highway 50 and Green Bay Road, Kenosha, earlier that night. The suspect in that incident was actually hiding in the Applebee's bathroom while the violence unfolded outside.
Witnesses said two black males and a black female had fled on foot toward the restaurant, according to officers.

They claim a witness told them the female was carrying a child. When they entered the premises, police say an Applebee's staff member told them 'suspicious people' were dining who had a baby with them.
The group of four officers approached the man who holding the baby in his arms.
'I'm not doing s---! Let me the f--- go!' the man was heard yelling as the uniformed men were seen trying to strip away the infant. Once they were successful, officers threw the man onto his stomach yelling at him to 'put his hands behind his back' while hitting him several times.
Of the incident, police said: 'The male was being detained as the crash was being investigated.
'The male attempted to leave against officers orders and was restrained. He resisted and the incident that was caught on camera unfolded from there.'
Cops confirmed that the man they restrained was not the person responsible for the hit-and-run but is instead facing a slew of charges, including disorderly conduct, resisting, and obstructing an officer.
The individuals responsible for the hit-and-run were later located inside the Applebee's bathroom.

Local community members are now lashing out over the man's charges.
Tanya McLean, executive director of Leaders of Kenosha - a non-profit with a focus on approaches to justice, told Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the outcome is 'ridiculous'.
'It just doesn't seem that anyone was a voice of reason that had a uniform on,' she said.
'We don't want to stand here and have these conversations about people being harmed when they're simply having a meal with their family.'
The officers' use of force is expected to be reviewed by the Kenosha Police Department.
The department has made national news several times in recent years over what many have deemed unjustifiable uses of force against its own citizens. It was police in this city that previously shot black man Jacob Blake in the back during a domestic dispute.
Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey shot Blake seven times on August 23 2020 as he was about to get into an SUV. His three children were in the back seat of the vehicle when he was shot.
The gunshot wounds paralyzed Blake from the waist down, and he suffered damage to his stomach, kidney and liver.
Protests erupted after a cellphone video showed Blake walking around the front of his car with Sheskey following and opening fire after he opened the door.
But investigators said the video was incomplete and failed to show that Blake was armed with a knife and had resisted arrest, arguing that it would have been hard to prove Sheskey was not acting in self defense.
The shooting sparked rallies that went on for several nights.
Some turned violent, with some protesters burning businesses and members of self-styled militias answering a call on social media to travel to the city.
Among them was 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse who on August 25, shot three men, killing two.
He was acquitted at his trial just over a year later after testifying he had acted in self-defense.
