Nashville library shooting: Two gunmen at large following a shooting in library - two victims 'possibly known' to shooters rushed to hospital as cops launch manhunt

Police in Nashville have responded to a shooting inside the Bordeaux Branch Library in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville police told DailyMail.com two suspects fired at two victims shortly before 4pm Thursday, and both were 'possibly known' to the shooters. 

One of the targets was rushed to Skyline Medical Center with serious injuries, while the other was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officials said both suspects fled the scene, with one taking off down a residential street and the other shooter escaping behind a Kroger's supermarket. 

A large police presence descended on the library following the shooting, and around dozen officers were joined by a K-9 unit and a SWAT team, according to The Tennessean.

Cops say the victims may have been known to the shooters

Police say the shooters are still at large. One was described as wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts, and the other was in a hoodie and white tennis shoes. 

One of the victims was shot inside the library, and another outside. 

Following the shooting, the library released a statement saying the branch will remain closed the next two days as cops investigate. 

It is currently unknown what motivated the shooting, and police said the situation was 'fluid' as they worked to gather information about the incident.
